Hello, I just purchased the SCS Smith Cage System and matching bench. Do you guys sell a seat replacement that is the same width as the rest of the bench? The default seat on the bench is far too wide and gets in the way. Also, do you sell paint touch up kits at all?

Peter      2017-11-28

Hello I was wondering what the difference is between a new 2017 FT2 and one that is a couple of years old. Are there plan to update the machine for 2018 Thank you Peter

THE FT2 HAS NOT CHANGED SO THERE ARE NO DIFFERENCES.  THERE ARE NO PLANS TO UPDATE THE MACHINE IN 2018.

Todd      2017-11-27

There seems to be a high demand for additional add-ons to the FT2 such as dip bar and leg press. Any reason why you're not considering these?

WE ARE LOOKING INTO THESE OPTIONS AND APPRECIATE THE FEEDBACK

David      2017-11-21

Hi, I was trying to figure out what the difference between the ft1 and ft2 would be, besides the footprint. thanks all!

BOTH FUNCTIONAL TRAINERS, HOWEVER, THE FT2 HAS A SMITH BAR BUILT IN AND A COUPLE EXTRA PULL POINTS.

Bj      2017-11-20

Is there a footplate option available for the FT-1?

NO

Brandon      2017-11-20

Hello- 1. On the FT1, each weight plate is 10 lbs. is that the same for the first plate that is shaped a bit different. 2. What does the .5 split resistance mean on the product info.

YES, THE TOP PLATE AND SELECTOR STEM WEIGHS 10LBS.

.5 SPLIT RESISTANCE MEANS YOU GET HALF THE RESISTANCE OF WHAT YOU HAVE PINNED ON EACH WEIGHT STACK.  FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOU HAVE 10LBS. PINNED IN THE WEIGHT STACK, YOU ARE PULLING 5LBS. FROM THAT WEIGHT STACK.

Raúl      2017-11-20

La estacion M4, no se encuentra disponible temporalmente o definitivamente?, gracias.

DEFINITIVAMENTE

Christopher      2017-11-16

Does the Preacher curl unit use the Leg Conversion Kit for Leg Ex Att

NO IT DOESN'T. THE LEG CONVERSION KIT IS USED FOR THE LEG EXTENSION ATTACHMENT ONLY.

Christopher      2017-11-15

I am considering buying this but I have no confidence in my ability to assemble this. I put my zipcode in your locator section and it has no one in my area. Am I out of luck?

WHAT MACHINE ARE YOU LOOKING TO PURCHASE?

PLEASE CALL US TOLL FREE AT 877-738-1729

Chri      2017-11-14

Are you going to develop a dip attachment for the ft2

NO PLANS FOR ONE AT THIS POINT

Thomas      2017-11-08

Can you please tell me the individual actual weight lifted ratios per individual station for the M5 with Leg Press, this is a amazing piece of equipment but having a hard time finding the answer for this model. Thank You

THE LAT STATION, ROW, AND PREACHER CURL STATION HAVE A 1:1 WEIGHT RATIO

THE PRESS ARM INCREASES WEIGHT BY APPROX. 20%

THE LEG EXTENSION HAS A 1:1 RATIO AND THE LEG CURL IS APPROX. 75%

THE LOW PULLEY IS HALF RESISTANCE / 1:2 WEIGHT RATIO

THE LEG PRESS HAS A 2:1 WEIGHT RATIO / DOUBLE RESISTANCE

Frank      2017-11-03

The M4 seemed to be getting a lot of good reviews - why was it discontinued? I like the idea of isolateral training - any plan to update the M4 or come out with a newer model?

THE M4 HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED BUT OUR M3 HAS BEEN UPGRADED WITH ISOLATERAL PRESS AND LAT STATIONS.  CHECK IT OUT AT YOUR LOCAL INSPIRE RETAILER!

Dustin      2017-11-02

I have the ft2 and when I raise or lower the bar it is jerkey and wobbles as it goes up or down what is wrong or is this normal. Been like this since day 1. Thought it would be smoother

Michael Velarde      2017-10-23

I am very interested in purchasing the FT2 FUNCTIONAL TRAINER the fully loaded one you have on your website. I also would like to purchase the extra weight that can be added to each eeight stack. One of my questions is what is the actual resistance i know it can very tremendously depending on the amount of pulleys. So even though the total weight per stack might say 215 the real resistance might only be 75lbs. So could you please let me know the actual real resistance? Plus my second question is do you offer financing? Thank You Michael Velarde

HI MICHAEL!  EACH PULLEY ON THE FT2 IS HALF RESISTANCE.  WE DO NOT OFFER ANY FINANCING AT THIS TIME.  PLEASE CONTACT OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR HELP FINDING A LOCAL RETAILER.

jim      2017-10-18

Hello, I would like to ask what is the weight of whole set of BL1?

230 lbs.

Sarah      2017-10-18

Hey! I am looking to buy the FT2 but my basements drop ceiling is 87 1/2 inches.. the specs say the height is 88inches. Is there anyway to not attach the pull up bar so that the unit will fit? Or is the pull up bar welded to the top of the unit? Thanks

YES THE FT2 WILL FIT!  THE TOP BEAM/PULL UP BAR HEIGHT IS ADJUSTABLE.  THE MINIMUM HEIGHT IS 83" AND THE MAXIMUM HEIGHT IS 88"

Dwayne      2017-10-12

Is there a way to do leg extension exercises on the FT1? The bench we have is is the FLB@ Folding Bench

THE LEG EXTENSION ATTACHMENT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE FOLDING BENCH.  YOU WOULD NEED EITHER THE SCS BENCH OR THE FT1 BENCH.

THE FT1 DOES NOT HAVE A LEG KIT TO CONNECT THE LEG EXTENSION ATTACHMENT TO THE CABLES LIKE THE FT2 DOES.

cedric      2017-10-10

Hi, Is it possible( and recomanded?) to make legpress with smith bar of ft2? thanks

THERE ARE NO LEG PRESS ATTACHMENTS AVAILABLE FOR THE FT2

Robert      2017-10-10

Does the starting weight of the FT2 trainer smith bar go from 20 lbs to 40 lbs when the weight multiplier is in effect?

YES

Mac Kenzee      2017-10-04

Is there an option for lat pull downs on the SCS Cage System?

YES!  YOU NEED A BENCH AND OUR 3 HOLE LAT BAR

Kim      2017-11-08

Hi, I recently purchased the SCS cage system and was wondering where I purchase weight plates to use with the chest bar or leg attachment. It didn't come with any and I can't find them on your web page. Will any standard size work? Thanks

THE SCS CAGE SYSTEM REQUIRES OLYMPIC SIZE WEIGHT PLATES

Kelly      2017-09-19

What does the top weight (the top plate with no number decal on it that is shaped differently that the 1-15 plates) on the pre-2014 M2 weigh? 10 lbs? Thanks.

10 LBS.

Wade      2017-09-12

Hi, I recently purchased a FT2.. in the workout manual it mentions an optional footbrace ( where the bench stopper is ). Is the footbrace still an option and if so where can I buy one please.

THE OPTIONAL FOOT BRACE COMES WITH THE SCS BENCH BUT IT CAN BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY THROUGH OUR WEBSITE.  GO TO WWW.INSPIREFITNESS.NET AND SELECT THE TAB, "OUR PRODUCTS" SCROLL DOWN TO "ACCESSORIES", THEN SELECT THE SCS-WB LEG LOCK.

Brad      2017-09-11

How much does each individual weight weigh on the sides of the FT 2?

EACH WEIGHT PLATE WEIGHS 10 LBS.

Tyler      2017-09-08

What kind of Super Lube do you recommend? Aerosol Spray, grease, or synthetic oil?

SYNTHETIC OIL

Brad      2017-09-08

Where do I find serial number on ft2

IT'S ON A WHITE STICKER ON THE FRONT CROSS BRACE.  WHEN STANDING IN THE MACHINE, LOOK UP AT THAT TOP BEAM.

Alex      2017-09-05

What is the weight capacity of the weight racks on the SCS machine? I was thinking of purchasing additional weight racks to reinforce the single rack it comes with. What are your thoughts?

THE WEIGHT CAPACITY ON THE SMITH RACK IS 1000 LBS.

YOU SHOULD NOT NEED TO PURCHASE ANY ADDITIONAL RACKS.

Kris      2017-08-30

On the FT2 from what I can tell there is no pads to slide the tops of your knees under when performing a traditional lat pull down. The FT2 does almost everything BUT a regular lat pull down. Is this the case ? or is there an option to hold you to the bench while performing heavy lat pull downs. Thx, Kris

YOU CAN LOWER THE RED BAR DOWN TO HOLD YOURSELF TO THE BENCH WHILE PERFORMING LAT PULL DOWNS ON THE FT2

Nick hidgsin      2017-08-22

Please can you tell me how to oil my FT2, and what are the weight increments on the stack

WIPE DOWN GUIDE RODS WITH A DRY CLOTH AND APPLY A THIN COAT OF A TEFLON-BASED LUBRICANT

EACH WEIGHT PLATE IS 10 LBS.

Brian Krupinsky      2017-08-21

I recently purchased the smith machine. What is the weight of the bar. I attempted to weight it and came up with 28 lbs. What is the actual bar weight if I added 100 lbs. of weight to the bar? Thank you!

THE SMITH BAR WEIGHS 30 LBS. ON THE SMITH CAGE SYSTEM

Emily      2017-08-11

What is the weight of the bar on the FT2? For the purposes of calculating the total weight lifted

20lbs.

Vicki      2017-08-02

Can you tell me the differences between the FT2 Trainer and the SCS Smith Cage System? Thanks

THE MAIN DIFFERENCE IS THE FT2 SMITH BAR IS BUILT INTO THE WEIGHT STACKS WHICH ELIMINATES THE NEED FOR WEIGHT PLATES.  THE SCS SMITH CAGE SYSTEM REQUIRES OLYMPIC WEIGHT PLATES.

Gavin      2017-07-25

I have the M4 homegym. I would like to know if the leg press for the other m-series gyms would work on the M4.

YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE WEIGHT STACK RISERS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WEIGHT STACKS.  PLEASE REFERENCE PAGE 14/STEP 9 IN THE FT2 OWNERS MANUAL.

i cant wait for the FT3 to come out. I heard it is going to have a glide squat rack instead of the fixed one.

OUR FT2 IS NOT CHANGING AND WE DO NOT HAVE PLANS CURRENTLY IN PLACE FOR A FT3

Marc      2017-06-26

Could you tell me what the pulley weight ratios are for the FT2 are? Thanks

ALL PULLEYS ARE HALF RESISTANCE 1:2

THE SMITH BAR IS 1:1 WITH THE WEIGHT MULTIPLIER, HALF RESISTANCE WITHOUT THE MULTIPLIER

Marie-Chantal      2017-06-26

I am in a wheelchair and my hands do not move. I use adaptations to hold the weights and bars. I would like to have 5 pounds increments between the weights. I would like to know which weight equipment is more suitable to my condition.

THE FT1 WOULD BE PERFECT, IT GIVES 2.5 WEIGHT INCREMENTS

Phil      2017-06-20

What's a good solution to use for daily cleaning on the scs leather bench?

SOAP AND WATER WORKS OR EVEN WINDEX SPRAYED TO A PAPER TOWEL THEN APPLIED TO THE BENCH

ced      2017-06-20

Please, tell me how to use the AB BAR with FT2 machine. thanks

YOU ATTACH THE AB BAR TO THE TOP PULLEYS BY THE PULL UP BAR

Jim      2017-05-30

What is the difference between the Cr2 and the Cr2.1?

THE CR2 GENERATES RESISTANCE BY FRICTION, THE CR2.1 OFFERS MAGNETIC RESISTANCE.  THIS MAKES THE CR2.1 ONE OF THE SMOOTHEST AND QUIETEST ROWERS ON THE MARKET.

James      2017-05-26

Hi can you please look into making a leg press attachment to the FT2. Thank you!

WE HAVE A FREESTANDING DUAL LEG PRESS/CALF MACHINE BUT DO NOT OFFER A LEG PRESS ATTACHMENT FOR THE FT2.  PLEASE CALL US TOLL FREE@ 877-738-1729 FOR MORE INFO!

Jeff      2017-05-22

I have an M4. Do you have a 5lb collar for the stack for 5lb increments instead of the 10lb increments?

WE HAVE A 5LB. ADD-ON WEIGHT AVAILABLE.  IT CAN BE PURCHASED ON OUR WEBSITE WWW.INSPIREFITNESS.NET OR CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLL FREE @ 877-738-1729

Martin      2017-05-15

When the FT2 is delivered along with the SCS Bench, additional weight stacks, leg developer and preacher pad, how many boxes does it come in? Thanks.

14 BOXES

ABDULLA      2017-05-12

Is it safe to use the smith bar on the ft2 for dipping?

NO.  PLEASE DO NOT USE THE SMITH BAR ON THE FT2 FOR DIPS.

nicho      2017-05-05

Hi , question regarding FT 2 when using SmithBar , if i set 50 lbs on the left and 50 lbs on the right + 20 lbs for the Bar = Total 120 lbs , am i carrying 120 lbs actual weight ? deadlift and benchpress

AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THE WEIGHT MULTIPLIER ENGAGED, YES YOU WOULD BE LIFTING 120LBS.  WITHOUT THE WEIGHT MULTIPLIER ENGAGED, YOU WOULD BE LIFTING HALF OF THAT.

robert      2017-04-27

can you tell me what the pulley weight ratios are for the M3 ? Thanks

THE PRESS ARM IS ISOLATERAL AND EACH ARM IS HALF RESISTANCE 1:2.  IF PRESSING BOTH SIDES AT THE SAME TIME, YOU WILL GET A 1:1 RATIO.

THE LAT PULLDOWN IS ALSO ISOLATERAL AND EACH PULLEY IS HALF RESISTANCE 1:2.  IF PULLING DOWN ON BOTH PULLEYS AT THE SAME TIME, YOU WILL GET A 1:1 RATIO.

THE MIDDLE PULLEY IS HALF RESISTANCE 1:2

THE LOW/ROW PULLEY IS HALF RESISTANCE 1:2

THE LEG EXTENSION IS FULL RESISTANCE 1:1

Matt      2017-04-19

Is the IC2 indoor cycle being discontinued?

NO, IT WAS JUST TEMPORARY OUT OF STOCK.  IT IS BACK IN STOCK NOW!

Peter      2017-04-19

Could you please consider adding a dip bar option to the FT2? It could span the two silver posts to provide rigidity and could clip into the holes so that people could set a height appropriate for themselves. This is the main thing missing from this system and I would jump on it if you had it as an addon

THANK YOU FOR YOUR FEEDBACK!  WE ARE LOOKING INTO THIS.

Steve      2017-04-14

Is there a good way to brace your thighs for lat pulldowns with one of your functional trainers? Also, does the setback of the M1 serve as a thigh brace for lat pulldowns?

YES, YOU WOULD NEED TO GO WITH THE FT2 WITH BENCH AND LOWER THE SMITH BAR DOWN TO BRACE YOUR THIGHS IF YOU ARE PULLING YOUR BODYWEIGHT WHEN DOING A LAT PULLDOWN.

AS FOR THE M1, YES BUT IT IS MINIMAL BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE FULL KNEE COVERAGE.

Martin      2017-04-11

Is it true that you have an FT3 in production?

NO WE DON'T, SORRY!

Shannon      2017-04-03

Is there a lat bar designed to work with the M3 dual pulley configuration?

YES!  OUR ALUMINUM LAT BAR WILL WORK ON THE M3 WITH THE DUAL PULLEY CONFIGURATION.  THE LAT BAR HAS 3 ATTACHMENT HOLES.

Martin      2017-04-03

Hi, with regards to the weight multiplier on the FT2, I know you can multiply the weight on the smith bar, can you also multiply the weight on the pulleys as well? Thanks

THE WEIGHT MULTIPLIER ONLY WORKS ON THE SMITH BAR

Nicho      2017-03-31

Just got the FT2 yesterday Question 1 - do i paste the decal #1-15 from the 1st (smaller) plate or 2nd full size plate ? Question 2 - what is the weight of the 1st (smaller) plate and the quick insert (smaller) plate ?

YES, PASTE #1 DECAL ON THE TOP (SMALLER) PLATE, #2 ON THE 1ST FULL SIZE PLATE, ETC.

EACH WEIGHT PLATE IS 10LBS. INCLUDING THE TOP PLATE/SELECTOR STEM

Marcus      2017-03-27

How much weight can the pull-up bar on the FT2 accomodadte?

300 lbs.

Bob      2017-03-27

Is the weight on the M-3 leg press 1 for 1 i.e. Is #7 70 lbs or?? Thanks

THE LEG PRESS ATTACHMENT HAS A 2:1 WEIGHT RATIO / DOUBLE RESISTANCE

abdull      2017-03-24

i want to know the diameter of red bar please ?

4.25"

Chuck      2017-03-15

I have the Inspire M3 with the leg press. I am maxing out the weight stack using the leg press. Can the resistance of the leg press be increased? (e.g. adding more weight to the stack, or changing the pulleys in some way?)

THERE IS NO WAY TO INCREASE THE WEIGHT BUT IF YOU GET CLOSER TO THE FOOT PLATE, THE RESISTANCE WILL FEEL HEAVIER DUE TO THE LARGER RANGE OF MOTION.

EP      2017-03-24

Team - I have read some conflicting info re the M1 machine - what is the correct weight ratio? If the stack is 160ibs and you use the machine for a bench press what is the max you can lift? Finally what is the max weight upgrade you can do to the stack? Thanks!

EACH OF THE 6 PULL POINTS ON THE M1 OFFER 50% RESISTANCE SO IF YOU HAVE THE WEIGHT STACK PINNED AT #2 (20 LBS.) YOU ARE LIFTING 10 LBS.  HOWEVER, IF YOU ARE PULLING TWO PULLEYS AT THE SAME TIME AND YOU HAVE THE STACK PINNED AT #2, YOU ARE LIFTING 20 LBS. (10 LBS. FROM EACH PULLEY).  EACH WEIGHT PLATE ON THE WEIGHT STACK IS 10 LBS.

YOU CAN ADD THE OPTIONAL 50 LB. WEIGHT STACK UPGRADE TO MAKE IT A 210 LB. WEIGHT STACK.

leslie richardson      2017-03-15

how much does the unmarked weight & rod weigh...thanks

10 LBS.

leslie richardson      2017-03-07

how much does the smith bar on the ft2 weigh? thanks

20 LBS.

Chris      2017-02-22

Hi just wondering if there are any plans for a leg press attachment for the FT2

NO PLANS AS OF NOW FOR A FT2 LEG PRESS ATTACHMENT

Marc      2017-02-22

I just wanted to thank Inspire at this point. I just got this machine about 2 months ago, and I am loving it. It has a variety of exercises, but my favorite feature is the spotting portion of the bar on the machine. I am trying to push myself to new levels, and this feature gives me peace of mind. I have a spotter now at home.....Thanks again !!

Paul Eldred      2017-02-22

When will FT2 Leg Press be available in UK? What will be the maximum load applied at the foot plate?

WE DON'T OFFER A LEG PRESS ATTACHMENT TO THE FT2

Ed      2017-02-14

Hi, can the 50 lb weight add on pkg be done later or does it need to be installed as ordered?

IT CAN BE ADDED AT ANY TIME

THE WEIGHT STACK RISERS WILL NEED TO BE REMOVED BEFORE THE 50LB. ADD ON WEIGHTS ARE ADDED

Scott      2017-02-10

Hi, I am researching to purchase a home gym and would like to know the difference between FT1 and FT2 equipments?

BOTH MACHINES HAVE ADJUSTABLE HIGH/LOW PULLEY SYSTEMS FOR UNLIMITED FUNCTIONAL TRAINING CAPABILITY.  THE FT2 ALSO HAS TWO TOP PULLEYS FOR LAT PULLDOWNS, ETC. AND BOTTOM PULLEYS FOR ROWS, OPTIONAL LEG EXTENSION/LEG CURL ATTACHMENT.  THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE IS THE FT2 HAS A BUILT IN SMITH BAR MAKING IT A COMBO FUNCTIONAL TRAINER/SMITH MACHINE.  THE FT2 ALSO HAS A WEIGHT MULTIPLIER FEATURE WHICH DOUBLES THE MAXIMUM RESISTANCE USING THE SMITH BAR.

CHECK OUT OUR DEMO VIDEOS TO GET A GOOD OVERVIEW ON BOTH MACHINES AND THE UNIQUE FEATURES EACH MACHINE HAS.

Joe G      2017-02-08

"PLEASE CHECK OUT OUR NEW LEG PRESS/CALF RAISE DUAL MACHINE COMING SOON" When is the leg press coming--was originally October 2016 then January 2017?

SORRY FOR THE DELAY!  NEW AVAILABILITY DATE IS MAY 2017

cedric      2017-02-08

Hi, is there a possibility to use LEG PRESS OPTION FOR M-SERIES GYMS* - LP3 for FT2 ? Like using an accessory to ensure compatibility between the two.

THE LP3 LEG PRESS IS ONLY AVAILABLE AS AN ATTACHMENT OPTION FOR THE M-SERIES GYMS (M2, M3 AND M5) NOT FOR THE FT2

Jenny      2017-02-07

Hi. Can anyone please tell me how to change the digital settings from miles to km's please on the CB1 Air Bike. Thanks

cedric      2017-02-07

Mark G      2017-01-31

Hi, Can you let me know the differences between the CS2.5 and the CS 3.0 cardio strider. I'm interested in the resistance level differences, how resistance is achieved (i.e. magnetic vs other), and any other design updates or features. Thanks

THE CS2.5 AND CS3 BOTH HAVE 20 LEVELS OF RESISTANCE

THE CS2.5 HAS MAGNETIC RESISTANCE VS. THE CS3 HAS ELECTRO-MAGNETIC RESISTANCE

THE CS3 HAS HEART RATE CAPABILITY VS. THE CS2.5 DOES NOT

Steve      2017-01-25

Will you offer online or app work out classes for the CR2.1?

WE ARE LOOKING INTO CREATING AN ONLINE CASS IN THE FUTURE

Mark G      2017-01-19

Hi, Can anyone tell me the difference in the CR2 vs CR2.1. Are there any improvements that could help me decide which one to get. CR2 is on clearance in Canada so wondering if I should wait for the CR2.1. Thanks

THE CR2 GENERATES RESISTANCE BY FRICTION, THE CR2.1 OFFERS MAGNETIC RESISTANCE.  THIS MAKES THE CR2.1 ONE OF THE SMOOTHEST AND QUIETEST ROWERS ON THE MARKET.

Rob      2017-01-19

M1 vs BL1 Any recommendations for our family? Wanting a home gym for myself, wife and our 10 yo son, all wanting to establish better fitness and conditioning... What features make you recommend one over the other?

THE BL1 USES YOUR OWN BODY WEIGHT TO GENERATE RESISTANCE.  THIS UNIQUE SYSTEM MAKES IT ONE OF THE SMOOTHEST AND QUIETEST MACHINES ON THE MARKET.  YOU ALSO HAVE THE OPTION TO DO LEG CURLS AND LEG EXTENSIONS.  THE M1 IS A CABLE MACHINE WITH 6 PULLEY POINTS, FACILITATING MANY DIFFERENT WORKOUT OPTIONS.  YOU EVEN HAVE THE OPTION TO LAY THE SEAT FLAT AND DO CHEST WORK LAYING INSTEAD OF SEATED.  BOTH MACHINES ARE VERY COMPACT AND EASY TO USE.  WE RECOMMEND WATCHING OUR DEMO VIDEOS WHICH WILL GIVE YOU A GOOD OVERVIEW ON THE UNIQUE FEATURES EACH MACHINE HAS.

Mark      2017-01-12

I have an FT1 and would like to use a regular lat bar with both weight stacks. Is this possible? Can I just connect both pulley carabiners to the single hook on the lat bar? Thanks!

NO, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO WORKOUT PROPERLY IF YOU CONNECT BOTH PULLEY CARABINERS OF THE FT1 TO THE SINGLE HOOK ON YOUR LAT BAR.  A BAR WITH TWO HOOKS ON EACH END IS INCLUDED WITH THE ATTACHMENTS AND CAN BE USED FOR YOUR EXERCISES.

Alex Kolesar      2017-01-06

There are two stacks of 15 weights on each side of the FT2 home gym. It came with two sheets of number decals for the weights (#1-21). Am I supposed to number each stack 1 through 15 and discard the decals for 16 through 21? And if yes, then why are the decals not representative of the actual weight of the plates (ex. 10 lbs, 20 lbs, etc)? Why are they just numbered 1-21?

THE CAP WEIGHT SHOULD BE LABLED #1 THEN #2, 3, 4, ETC.  WE GIVE EXTRA DECALS FOR HEAVY STACK UPGRADES.

Austin      2016-12-27

Whats the best way to move the FT2 workout equipment to another house without breaking the whole thing down. Thanks

REMOVING THE WEIGHT STACKS MAKES IT A LOT EASIER TO MOVE.  IF YOU REQUIRE MORE ASSISTANCE, PLEASE CONTACT OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLL FREE @ 877-738-1729

I am placing the FT2 in a converted garage and the floor is uneven. Sloped and slightly crowned. Are the feet on the FT2 adjustable or must it be shimmed?

YES, THE FT2 BASE IS ADJUSTABLE.  THE ADJUSTMENTS ARE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDES OF THE MAIN BASE BETWEEN THE WEIGHT STACK AND THE FRONT UPRIGHTS.  PLEASE CONTACT OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR ASSISTANCE @ 877-738-1729

Troy      2016-12-13

THE FT2 HAS A LIFETIME RESIDENTIAL WARRANTY AND A 10 YEAR LIGHT COMMERCIAL WARRANTY ON THE FRAME AND ALL PARTS.

Andy      2016-11-21

Is there dip bar attachment for the inspire SCS. Or what size would fit? Thank you.

UNFORTUNATELY WE DO NOT HAVE A DIP ATTACHMENT FOR THIS UNIT

Stephanie      2016-11-14

Hi i Want to purchase a ft2 but i only have a clearance of 85 inch from the ceiling. Is it enough?

THE HEIGHT OF THE FT2 IS ADJUSTABLE SO THE LAT BEAM AND PULL UP BAR MUST BE ASSEMBLED AND INSTALLED AT THE LOWEST HEIGHT WHICH IS 83".  THE UNIT SHOULD FIT OK BUT THE CLEARANCE FOR PULL UPS WILL BE LIMITED.

cedric      2016-10-24

hi, it is necessery to buy a lat bar if i buy the ft2? if yes, do i need to buy your three mounting points bar or a simple lat bar it's okai? thanks

YOU CAN PERFORM LAT PULLDOWNS WITH D HANDLES ON THE FT2.  THE LAT BAR IS AN OPTIONAL ACCESSORY.  OUR 3 HOLE LAT BAR IS RECOMMENDED BECAUSE OF THE DOUBLE PULLEYS BUT A SINGLE HOLE LAT BAR WILL ALSO WORK.

Daniel      2016-10-20

How much weight resistance will the new leg press machine have?

DOUBLE RESISTANCE

2 X 115LB. WEIGHT STACKS = 230 X DOUBLE RESISTANCE = 460LBS.

Cody      2016-10-13

I have a Inspire double cable machine FT1. How much does each plate weight as they are only numbered 1,2,3 etc

Hi, we\'ve had our M3 with leg press for about a week and we\'re loving it. So smooth! I know the older version allowed for a 5 lb add-on weight, but the newer version has a pulley atop the weight stack...is there a way to use the add-on weight with the newer version?

YES, YOU CAN USE THE 5LB. ADD ON WEIGHT TO THE NEW M3

Kevin O'Gorman      2016-07-19

Hi only recently had my ft1 fitted and the guide rod on the right rubs all the weights on the inside as it drops and rises. How can this be adjusted to drop dead down the centre?? Also when changing weights on left load when pin is released top weight moves up, so unless you push it down you can't push pin back in. How does this adjust??

PLEASE CONTACT OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT @ 877-738-1729.  THEY WILL HELP YOU!

Darlene      2016-06-22

We just got our Inspire M3 installed & set up yesterday. They put the pin in and left. Today I went to do my first workout and removed the pin to adjust weight. The top plate lifted about 1/2" The pin will not fit in the holes without me pushing down the top plate. How can I get the top plate to sit firmly on the weights? Thanks for your help!

Just wanted say how much I love my new FT2. I also have a pre2014 M3 with LP2 leg press. I use both of the gyms in my workouts and never had any issues with the equipment. Thanks for making such great products.

curt      2016-06-20

Recently purchased FT2 and M5 gyms. Beautiful machines. What kind of lubricant is recommended for the linear bearing shaft. A bit of noise when sliders move up and down. Is Wd40 recommended?

WE RECOMMEND A PRODUCT CALLED "SUPERLUBE"

Ed      2016-06-13

When they installed my FT1 the cables were about 6 inches too long. There is no obvious adjustment to take up this much slack. Is there a solution? I have already done the standard tightening procedure.

IF YOU HAVE ADDED THE 50LB. WEIGHT STACK UPGRADE, YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE WEIGHT STACK RISERS.  PLEASE CONTACT OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR ASSISTANCE @ 877-738-1729 OR SERVICE@INSPIREFITNESS.NET

Amber Sparks      2016-06-13

JP      2016-04-29

What is Beginner Circuitous Workout. How is that different from the Beginner Workout. Who should be using the Circuitous workout?

CIRCUIT TRAINING IS AN INTERVAL-BASED WORKOUT PROGRAM.  YOU COMPLETE SEVERAL DIFFERENT EXERCISES IN RAPID SUCCESSION, WITH SHORT RESTS IN BETWEEN.  AFTER DOING ONE SERIES OF EXERCISES, OR COMPLETING ONE "CIRCUIT", YOU'LL START AT THE BEGINNING AGAIN AND COMPLETE THE CIRCUIT ONE MORE TIME.

Don Mango      2017-06-26

Where is the documentation for how much weight I am lifting with each exercise on a 2014 FT2? Love the machine BTW, just wondering if I should get the weight multiplier?

ALL PULLEYS ARE HALF RESISTANCE 1:2

THE SMITH BAR IS 1:1 WITH THE WEIGHT MULTIPLIER, HALF RESISTANCE WITHOUT THE MULTIPLIER

Mike      2016-04-21

Does inspire still sell the vkr1 or has it been discontinued.

IT HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED

TMAC      2016-04-19

I just purchased the M3 Home Gym. In looking at this blog, I have found conflicting information regarding the ratios/resistance of the pulleys for the M3. Would someone from INSPIRE please post CORRECT information about the pulley reistance and ratios. Thanks

THE PRESS ARM IS ISOLATERAL AND EACH ARM IS HALF RESISTANCE 1:2.  IF PRESSING BOTH SIDES AT THE SAME TIME, YOU WILL GET A 1:1 RATIO

THE LAT PULLDOWN IS ALSO ISOLATERAL AND EACH PULLEY IS HALF RESISTANCE 1:2.  IF PULLING DOWN ON BOTH PULLEYS AT THE SAME TIME, YOU WILL GET A 1:1 RATIO

THE MIDDLE PULLEY IS HALF RESISTANCE 1:2

THE LOW/ROW PULLEY IS HALF RESISTANCE 1:2

THE LEG EXTENSION IS FULL RESISTANCE 1:1

Stuart      2016-04-20

If I deadlift 16 on each side without the weight multiplier, how much weight would that be? I'm still not sure how much weight I have on the weight stacks.

WITHOUT THE WEIGHT MULTIPLIER, YOU WOULD BE LIFTING 160LBS.

Clayton      2016-04-20

Hi iv just bought the ft1 bench, just wondering what is the max weight capacity, user plus weights ??, in the manual its 300lb, on your site its 1000lb/400kg, on amazon.uk its 273 kg, just want to no thanks!

USER WEIGHT CAPACITY IS 800LBS.

Antonio      2016-04-12

Is there any plan to upgrade the FT2 soon? I was just wondering if I should purchase one now or wait a bit. Thanks

NO PLANS TO CHANGE OUR CURRENT FT2

Zee      2016-04-04

I have tried Inspire SCS at a local dealer and love the smooth action of Smith machine which is plate based in SCS. Haven't tried FT2. Someone here mentioned that cable based Smith in FT2 might have a bit more resistance. What's the difference between SCS and FT2. Could not find that in specs. My goals are muscles strengthening and toning, not wanting to be like hulk. I can see 2 supports for Smith bar in SCS. What is that for. What would you recommend.

OUR FT2 IS A COMBINATION OF A FUNCTIONAL TRAINER AND A SMITH MACHINE.  THE UNIQUE DESIGN INTEGRATES OLYMPIC BAR AND WEIGHT STACKS, ELIMINATING THE NEED FOR OLYMPIC WEIGHT PLATES.

THE DOUBLE RACKING SYSTEM ON THE SCS ACCOMMODATES SMITH BAR AND FREE WEIGHT BAR SIMULTANEOUSLY.

WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU TRY BOTH THE SCS AND THE FT2 AT YOUR LOCAL INSPIRE DEALER TO SEE WHICH IS BEST FOR YOU!

Pascale Prudhomme      2016-04-06

Can you give us the minimum live working area in cm for the M3 with snd without the leg press? Our room is wall to wall 250cm by 2,87cm...we are wondering if we have enough place for the leg press....thanks!

MINIMUM AREA REQUIRED FOR THE M3 IS 213.36 CM X 213.36 CM WITHOUT THE LEG PRESS

MINIMUM AREA REQUIRED FOR THE M3 WITH THE LEG PRESS IS 243.84 CM X 274.32 CM

Brian Carpenter      2016-03-15

Does anyone have a picture/better description of how the cable is connected to the cable u bracket on the new M1? Thanks

PLEASE CONTACT OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLL FREE @ 877.738.1729 THEY WILL HELP YOU!

Dave      2016-03-14

Can the leg press on the M3 be installed on either side?

YES

Graham      2016-03-14

Regarding the Squat Rack, is it possible to use a 6 foot Olympic bar on it, or will only 7 foot fit?

A 6FT OLYMPIC BAR MIGHT FIT BUT A 7FT IS RECOMMENDED.  I WOULD SUGGEST TRYING YOUR 6FT BAR IN A STORE BEFORE PURCHASING TO SEE IF IT WILL WORK.

Sean Music      2016-03-14

If I were to purchase a user FT2. Would the lifetime warranty be transferable and also does life fitness offer a moving service? Disassemble and move.

THE WARRANTY IS NOT TRANSFERABLE IF PURCHASED USED.  I'M NOT SURE IF LIFE FITNESS OFFERS A MOVING SERVICE.  PLEASE CONTACT OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLL FREE @ 877-738-1729 FOR HELP FINDING A LOCAL INSPIRE FITNESS DEALER.

Scott      2016-03-09

Is it safe/ wise to place a FT-2 in a second floor room, or would the weight of the machine be a problem?

IT SHOULD BE FINE AS LONG AS THE SECOND FLOOR WAS BUILT TO CODE

Grant      2016-03-09

Is there a weight limit of the person using this equipment?

WHICH MACHINE?

thomas      2016-02-29

may be a subjective question but who has assembled the Inspire M2 gym and what would you say it the difficulty level..thank you kindly

IF YOU FOLLOW THE MANUAL/ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS STEP BY STEP, IT SHOULD BE PRETTY EASY.  THE HARDEST PART IS MAKING SURE THE CABLES ARE ROUTED CORRECTLY.  PLEASE CALL OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLL FREE @ 877.738.1729 IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS!

MJ      2016-02-17

I own a SCS machine and I would like to know how much is the ACTUAL resistance of each 10lb pale on the cable system. For example, when I chest fly with 30lbs ( three plates) on each stack of the cable system, what is the actual weight aim am handling?

EACH PULLEY ON THE SCS SMITH CAGE SYSTEM IS HALF RESISTANCE (1:2)

IF YOU ARE DOING A CHEST FLY, PULLING FROM TWO PULLEYS AND HAVE BOTH WEIGHT STACKS PINNED AT 30LBS, THEN YOU ARE ACTUALLY LIFTING 30LBS.  IF YOU ARE PULLING FROM ONLY ONE PULLEY AND HAVE THE WEIGHT STACK AT 30LBS THEN YOU ARE ONLY LIFTING 15LBS. / HALF RESISTANCE.

Brian Campbell      2016-02-15

Just bought the Inspire Ft-1 and can't find a serial number for the machine or the bench. Can you direct me where to locate please? Thanks.

THE SERIAL NUMBER IS ON A WHITE STICKER LOCATED ON THE MAIN FRAME BEHIND THE SHROUD IN FRONT OF THE WEIGHT STACK ON THE FT1 (PART#2 IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL).  THE SERIAL NUMBER IS ALSO ON A WHITE STICKER ON THE FRAME OF THE BENCH.

MJ      2016-02-08

Hello there. Could you tell me what is the free weight of the bar on SCS Smith machine (as a comparison to a standalone Olympic barbell of 45 lb)? I deadlift 160 lb of weight plates on the smith machine bar and I would like to figure out how much weight should I have on an Olympic barbell if I want to lift an equivalent amount, free weight. Thanks.

THE SMITH BAR WEIGHS 30 LBS. ON THE SMITH CAGE SYSTEM

Gary      2016-02-08

I I've had the FT2 installed today, the gym company had to replace a cable as it got damaged. Will this effect the manufacturers warranty on the cables? Unfair if so as I'm not at fault.

NO, YOUR WARRANTY IS STILL VALID AND YOUR CABLES ARE COVERED.

Danny      2016-02-02

Hello I was wondering what the difference between a brand new 2015 Inspire m2 home gym and an inspire m2 home gym approx 5 years old would be ... besides price of course .... Thank you for your time .

THE NEW M2 HAS BEEN UPGRADED WITH A SEATED LEG EXTENSION AND CURL, ADDED SWIVELING SIDE PULLEY AND COMES WITH OUR UPGRADED ALUMINUM STYLE D HANDLES AND PEC FLY STRAP HANDLES.

A      2016-01-29

Hi, I wanted to know the effective resistance of each pulley on the FT2. For example, which pulleys half the weight that represented on the weight stack and which pulleys have a 1:1 weight ratio? Thanks

ALL PULLEYS ARE HALF RESISTANCE 1:2

THE SMITH BAR IS 1:1 WITH THE WEIGHT MULTIPLIER, HALF RESISTANCE WITHOUT THE MULTIPLIER

Valerie      2016-01-26

Hi, I just bought the ft1, and would like to know how to adjust the cables since we also bought the extra 100 pounds stack. I saw the video for the ft2 but it is not the same on the ft1. Thanks for your help. Valerie

Valerie      2016-01-26

Hi, I would like to know the difference between the old and new version of the FT1 beside the chin up bar. Thank you for your help. Valerie.

THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE OLD AND NEW VERSION OF THE FT1 IS THE PULL UP BAR AND THE COLOR OF THE FRAME.  DEPENDING ON THE YEAR OF THE OLD FT1, IT COULD HAVE PLASTIC SHROUDS VS. THE CURRENT FABRIC SHROUDS.

Bob      2016-01-08

I have an M2 Inspire. I am trying to figure out how to calculate the amount of weight I am lifting based on the M2. If I have the pin in the #3 hole for, say, bench presses, how much weight is being lifted? Is it 30 pounds, or 15 pounds, or what?

THE LAT PULL DOWN PULLEY, PRESS ARM AND LEG EXTENSION ON THE M2 HAVE A 1:1 WEIGHT RATIO SO YOU ARE LIFTING THE EXACT WEIGHT THAT YOU HAVE PINNED.  THE LOW PULLEY AND MID PULLEY ARE 1:2 RESISTANCE SO YOU ARE LIFTING HALF THE AMOUNT OF WEIGHT THAT YOU HAVE PINNED.

Peter      2016-01-08

On the FT2 using the weight multiplier and pinning both stacks at 10 I am bench pressing 220lbs right? Yet it feels significantly heavier than when I free weight bench press 225lb (45lb bar + 4 45lb plates) at my local gym. Although the the FT2 is very smooth, is this due to the added friction found in and smith cable machine?

YES, IF YOU ARE USING THE WEIGHT MULTIPLIER AND HAVE BOTH STACKS PINNED AT 10 THEN YOU ARE BENCH PRESSING 220LBS.  SINCE IT IS A CABLE MACHINE, IT WILL FEEL DIFFERENT THAN USING FREE WEIGHTS.

Oleg      2016-01-06

Hi, Does STRAIGHT BAR - DUAL HOOK fit to Inspire PT1 (not FT)

YES YOU CAN ATTACH THE DUAL HOOK STRAIGHT BAR TO THE PT1

Lisbeth      2016-01-04

What are the BEST workouts for WOMEN on the FT2?

WHAT ARE YOUR FITNESS GOALS / WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO ACHIEVE?

k      2015-12-28

installed the app. When I put in my workout information it is not saving to the log.

LOGS NEED TO BE ENTERED BY CLICKING THE RIGHT TOP ICON ON THE EXERCISE PAGE.  PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE DATE, EACH LOG SAVED SHOULD COME UP IN THE CALENDAR, AFTER IT HAS BEEN SAVED, AND IN ORDER TO SEE THE PROGRESS, THERE NEEDS TO BE AT LEAST 2 DATES.

Becky Ambrosini      2015-12-28

I have a back problem and I am not permitted to do a full extension so I have to keep my legs flexed at all times during exercise. I am 5'1". Can this device be adjusted in this manner. Do you know the height range for the device.

HI BECKY, TO BETTER ASSIST YOU, WHICH UNIT ARE YOU REFERRING TO?  THE LEG EXTENSION ON THE M2 AND M3 ARE ADJUSTABLE BUT I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST TRYING THE UNIT AT YOUR LOCAL DEALER TO SEE IF IT WILL WORK FOR YOU.

Walter      2015-12-28

Just finished assembling my FT1. One of my two 5 pound weights will not fit on top of the Stem Assembly. The space between the pulley bracket and the block that locks in the stem is too small. Can the screw that secures the stem in the block be loosened to increase the space? If so, it's not clear what tool I need. Thanks.

PLEASE CONTACT OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLL FREE AT 877-738-1729

THEY WILL HELP YOU!

Andrew      2015-12-28

On the FT1, what are the weight differences between each weight plate.

EACH WEIGHT PLATE WEIGHS 10LBS.

Julia      2015-12-22

On the BL1 and M1, what are the weight increments expressed in lay terms? On BL1 am I correct that, if I'm 150 pounds, my weight increments will increase from 15 lbs to 30 lbs with no in between? And same question as to the M1. Thank you.

YES YOU ARE CORRECT!  YOU LIFT 10% OF YOUR BODY WEIGHT AT EACH LEVEL OF RESISTANCE.  IF YOU WEIGH 150LBS. AND PIN THE #1 SPOT, YOU ARE LIFTING 15LBS.  #2 30LBS. #3 45LBS., ETC.

EACH OF THE 6 PULL POINTS ON THE M1 OFFER 50% RESISTANCE SO IF YOU HAVE THE WEIGHT STACK PINNED AT #2 (20LBS.) YOU ARE LIFTING 10LBS. HOWEVER, IF YOU ARE PULLING TWO PULLEYS AT THE SAME TIME AND HAVE THE STACK PINNED AT #2, YOU ARE LIFTING 20LBS.  EACH WEIGHT PLATE ON THE WEIGHT STACK IS 10LBS.

Doug      2015-11-30

Does the leg extension attachment SCS-LE use Standard and Olympic weights or just Olympic? How do I know if my weight bench will fit the leg extension and preacher attachments, there is no model number on the bench?

THE LEG EXTENSION ATTACHMENT USES OLYMPIC WEIGHT PLATES ONLY.

PLEASE EMAIL A PICTURE OF YOUR BENCH TO OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT SERVICE@INSPIREFITNESS.NET  THEY WILL BE ABLE TO TELL YOU WHAT MODEL BENCH YOU HAVE.

Mervyn      2015-11-30

hi I'm looking for gym , i saw in news have body lift and m1. What is the different btw this 2 products. The workout same ? thanks mervyn

THEY ARE BOTH VERY DIFFERENT UNITS.  I WOULD RECOMMEND VISITING YOUR LOCAL INSPIRE FITNESS DEALER TO TRY BOTH UNITS AND SEE WHICH OPTIONS ARE MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU.  YOU CAN ALSO VISIT OUR WEBSITE WWW.INSPIREFITNESS.NET "OUR PRODUCTS" SECTION, SELECT THE BL1 BODY LIFT AND THE M1 MULTI GYM FOR PRODUCT DEMO VIDEOS.

Rob      2015-11-30

I have an FT2. What is the best way to move it sidewise about 12 inches or so. I am planning to add an elliptical to the side of the FT2 and would need that space. I know the machine is about 700+lbs. Any suggestion?

I WOULD RECOMMEND PURCHASING A PACK OF ROUND REUSABLE PLASTIC CARPET SLIDERS AVAILABLE AT LOWES OR HOME DEPOT.

YOU CAN ALSO REMOVE THE WEIGHT STACKS FROM THE UNIT TO MAKE IT LIGHTER AND EASIER TO SLIDE.

Mike      2015-11-30

I have had my FT2 for over an year now and it works perfectly. Other than applying some lube I did not have to do any cable check or loose nuts as recommended. Can you please recommend a quick checklist to go over the machine for periodical maintenance?

THERE IS GENERAL MAINTENANCE INFORMATION ON PAGE 28 OF YOUR OWNERS MANUAL AS WELL AS A MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE CHECKLIST ON PAGE 29.  PLEASE CALL OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLL FREE @ 877.738.1729 FOR ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS AND/OR CONCERNS.

Hanif      2015-11-24

I have just purchased a CR2. What is the most effective way of working out on this machine? Duration, intensity etc. ?

INTERVAL TRAINING-  30 SECOND SPRINT FOLLOWED BY 90 SECONDS OF ACTIVE REST.  THEN REPEAT.  WORK UP TO 8 SUCH SPRINTS IN A 20 MINUTE TIME FRAME.

Dan      2015-11-13

Walter      2015-11-12

Can the SCS-PC extension hold a curlbar, or only a straight bar?

YES IT WILL HOLD A CURL BAR

Dennis      2015-11-10

Any plans for a rowing attachment for the FT2?

YOU CAN ATTACH D HANDLES TO THE TWO LOW WIDE GROOVE PULLEYS AT THE BACK OF THE MACHINE AND USE THE LEG LOCK TO PERFORM ROWS ON THE FT2 BUT NO ROW ATTACHMENT IN THE WORKS AT THIS TIME.

Kimi      2015-11-10

We will be installing the FT2 in a room with hardwood floors. What do you recommend re: flooring or padding underneath the machine and bench, and what dimensions for this flooring? Also do you recommend any bolting to the floor or anit-tipping measures recommended? We did not get the add'l 200lbs of weights.

I WOULD RECOMMEND A FIRM GYM EQUIPMENT MAT TO PROTECT YOUR HARDWOOD FLOORS.  NO NEED TO BOLT ANYTHING TO THE FLOOR BUT I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM A THICK RUBBER MAT WHICH COULD CAUSE A STABILITY ISSUE.  I WOULD RECOMMEND GOING WITH AT LEAST A 8' X 8' SIZE MAT.

Justin      2015-11-05

What is the most weight that I can bench or squat using the F2? Also, what is the max weight I can use for a Lat pull down, or a seated row? Thanks

USING THE WEIGHT MULTIPLIER FUNCTION WITH THE RED SMITH BAR AND THE 50LB. WEIGHT STACK UPGRADE, THE MAX YOU CAN BENCH OR SQUAT IS 450LBS.

215LBS. MAX DOING A SEATED ROW OR LAT PULLDOWN

Leslie      2015-11-05

YES, I WOULD RECOMMEND A FIRM GYM EQUIPMENT MAT

James H      2015-10-12

can you add to INSPIRE M3 GYM to make it like the INSPIRE M5 GYM?

NO, YOU CANNOT ADD TO THE M3 TO MAKE THE M5 BUT YOU CAN, HOWEVER, ADD THE LEG PRESS OPTION TO THE M3 AND MAKE THE M3 MULTI GYM WITH LEG PRESS.

Wasseem Saleem      2015-09-29

Dear Inspire Please could you tell me if you can change the Smith Bar on the SCS Smith System. Can you put another Olympic Bar in place of it. Also can you take the Smith Bar out completely of the full Cage System.

OUR RED BAR IS NOT REPLACEABLE, THERE IS NO WAY TO CONNECT A DIFFERENT BAR.  YES, THE BAR CAN BE REMOVED FROM THE SCS.

Dennis      2015-09-21

I would like to know can I use FT2 weight multiplier feature for lat pull down? Thanks.

THE WEIGHT MULTIPLIER WORKS FOR THE RED SMITH BAR ONLY

Mark      2015-09-18

I am looking at the FT2 for a home gym which is yet to be built, although the room will be quite narrow at 2.43m. The best orientation for the room would be to run the FT2 bench perpendicular to this. Would there be enough clearance to do leg extensions in this space? Thank you.

YOU SHOULD LITERALLY HAVE JUST ENOUGH CLEARANCE TO DO LEG EXTENSIONS IN THE GIVEN SPACE.

Stephan      2015-09-18

I need to know the weight of the FT1 - and the foot print of the machine and also of the machine when in use. thank you

THE FT1 WEIGHS 630 LBS.

PLEASE CHECK OUT THE FT1 PRODUCT PAGE ON OUR WEBSITE AND CLICK ON THE "HELP DOCS" TAB.  SELECT THE DIMENSIONS PDF FOR THE FOOTPRINT OF THE MACHINE.

Randy      2015-09-18

look to buy either the FT2 or the SCS cage system. Can you tell me the difference between the two products.

THE SCS IS AVAILABLE AS THE POWER RACK ALONE, AS THE SMITH MACHINE ALONE, OR AS THE COMPLETE SCS SYSTEM.  THE DOUBLE RACKING SYSTEM OF THE COMPLETE SCS ACCOMMODATES SMITH BAR AND FREE WEIGHT BAR SIMULTANEOUSLY.  THE SMITH BAR REQUIRES OLYMPIC WEIGHT PLATES ON THE SCS.

THE FT2 UNIQUE DESIGN INTEGRATES OLYMPIC BAR AND WEIGHT STACKS, ELIMINATING THE NEED FOR OLYMPIC WEIGHT PLATES.

PLEASE CHECK OUT BOTH PRODUCTS ON OUR WEBSITE "OUR PRODUCTS" PAGE AND WATCH OUR YOUTUBE VIDEOS FOR MORE INFORMATION.

Hello, if I have selected 50 lbs per side on the FT2, and bench with the smith bar without the multiplier, am I lifting 50 lbs plus bar or 100? Also if the multiplier is used with the same weight am I lifting 100 lbs plus bar or 200? Thank You.

YOU ARE LIFTING 50 LBS. WITHOUT THE MULTIPLIER AND 100 LBS. WITH THE MULTIPLIER PLUS THE WEIGHT OF THE SMITH BAR (20 LBS.)

My M2 multi gym last puuldown is not as smooth as all the other pull points. Is something installed wrong or is that just how it is. Mine is brand new but pre 2014 by the way.

Andy      2015-09-02

Hello again, I am now considering the FT2 for my basement gym. After moving some things around I have 124\" front to back but only 90\" left to right. What exercises, if any, will be restricted by this width? Also, to get to the 124\", the back 18\" of the ft2 will have to fit under a soffit which is only 82\" from the floor. after that the ceiling goes to 91\". Is the back of the machine shorter than 82\" ? It appears shorter in the pictures . Sorry for the complications. THANKS AGAIN IN ADVANCE.

YOU SHOULD HAVE PLENTY OF SPACE TO DO ALL EXERCISES WITH THE GIVEN DIMENSIONS.  THE BACK OF THE MACHINE IS SHORTER THAN 82" IT IS AT ABOUT 80" AND GRADUALLY GETS HIGHER TOWARDS THE FRONT OF THE MACHINE (MINIMUM HEIGHT 83" / MAXIMUM HEIGHT 88")

Todd      2015-09-02

Any plans on offering some sort of dip attachment for the FT2 or SCS bench?

WE DO NOT HAVE A DIP ATTACHMENT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME BUT WE ARE COMING OUT WITH A VKR/CHIN/DIP UNIT.  PLEASE VISIT "OUR PRODUCTS" PAGE ON OUR WEBSITE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

Andy      2015-08-24

Hello, I am considering the M3 with the leg press added. I have exactly 92\" left to right.....and 110\" front to back. Will that be enough space to perform ALL the exercises described on the wall chart? Also, on the footprint diagram it shows 73\" wide, but is listed as 67\" in other places. Which is correct? Thanks, in advance.

YES YOU WILL HAVE ENOUGH SPACE TO PERFORM ALL EXERCISES

73" WIDE IS CORRECT

Deanna      2015-08-20

Just to make sure I'm 100% clear: if I use both of the pulleys on the front of the ft2 with the straight bar to do bench press, I'm only getting 1/2 the resistance of each stack, right? Thank you!

YES THAT IS CORRECT!

John Falter      2015-08-19

What is the total footprint of the M3 with the leg press attached

VISIT "OUR PRODUCTS" PAGE ON OUR WEBSITE, SELECT M3 MULTI GYM, CLICK THE "HELP DOCS" TAB AND SELECT THE PDF FILE NAMED "DIMENSIONS".  YOU WILL FIND THE FOOTPRINT OF THE M3 BY ITSELF AND IF YOU SCROLL DOWN, YOU WILL FIND THE FOOTPRINT OF THE M3 W/ LP3 (LEG PRESS).

Nick      2015-08-20

Hello, I just recently purchased the FT2 and I noticed the manual only specifies applying lube to the weigh guide rails, but not the linear bearing shaft which the weight bar slides on. The weight bar doesn't seem to flow very smoothly. Is it OK to apply lube to the linear bearing shafts? Will it damage the linear bearings?

YES YOU CAN APPLY A LIGHT LAYER OF LUBE TO THE LINEAR BEARING SHAFTS, IT WILL NOT DAMAGE THE LINEAR BEARINGS.  ONCE YOU APPLY A LIGHT LAYER OF LUBE TO THE LINEAR BEARING SHAFTS, YOU WILL WANT TO MOVE THE SLIDERS UP AND DOWN TO GET THE LUBE SPREAD FROM TOP TO BOTTOM.

Doug      2015-08-20

Is the new LP3 different from the leg press that preceded it other than two separate foot locations and the calf press bump? They are both available to me used, the older one at a much lower cost and I am wondering if the new LP3 is significantly improved enough to pay the extra dollars requested.

PLEASE CONTACT OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO HELP WITH WHICH LEG PRESS (LP2 OR LP3) WILL FIT THE MODEL MULTI GYM THAT YOU ARE WANTING TO ADD THE LEG PRESS TO.  THE MAJOR DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO (LP2 AND LP3) IS THE LP2 IS AN ISOLATERAL LEG PRESS.

Hi, I'm looking at buying a used M2 gym but it has the old leg extension. Can I buy the newer leg extension/curl attachment and put it on?

NO, THE DESIGN OF THE (PRE 2014) M2 DOES NOT ALLOW FOR THE UPGRADED LEG EXTENSION/LEG CURL THAT COMES STANDARD ON THE CURRENT (POST 2014) M2.

What is the difference between the Pre 2014 M3 and the Post 2014 M3?

THE MAJOR DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE (PRE 2014) M3 AND THE NEWLY UPGRADED (POST 2014) M3 IS THE ISO-LATERAL PRESS AND LAT STATION.  THE NEW M3 ALSO COMES UPGRADED WITH ALUMINUM D HANDLES AND PEC FLY STRAP HANDLES.  THE NAUGAHYDE SEAT AND BACK PADS ARE NOW 3X THICKER!

james      2015-07-08

where is the serial number on the ft2 located?

IT'S ON A WHITE STICKER LOCATED ON THE FRONT CROSS BRACE (#14 IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL).  IF STANDING INSIDE THE UNIT FACING OUT, LOOK UP AND IT SHOULD BE RIGHT THERE.

kevin      2015-07-07

I have a SCS Smith cage. I would like to know what the smith bar (red) weighs. Also, what does the "selector stem/ top weight" weigh. So for example, if I have 1 weight and the selector stem/top weight selected, how much am I lifting". Thanks.

THE SMITH BAR WEIGHS 20LBS AND THE SELECTOR STEM/TOP WEIGHT WEIGHS APPROX. 10LBS.  EACH WEIGHT PLATE WEIGHS 10LBS.

Steve      2015-07-07

Looking to do seated rows using the Smith cage system, I don't have anywhere to place my feet. Also I see the weight stacks are "165 lbs" If all the plates are 10 lbs each, does that mean the top plate with the rod is 15?

CHECK OUT OUR SCS-WB LEG LOCK FOR $50 AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE UNDER ACCESSORIES ON "OUR PRODUCTS" PAGE

YES THE SELECTOR STEM/TOP WEIGHT IS APPROX. 15LBS AND EACH WEIGHT PLATE IS 10LBS

Rocky      2015-07-02

What are the weight ratios on the m4 including the leg press?

SINCE THE M4 HAS AN ISOLATERAL PRESS ARM, YOU GET HALF RESISTANCE FROM EACH SIDE AND FULL RESISTANCE WHEN YOU PRESS BOTH SIDES AT THE SAME TIME.  SAME RULE APPLIES WITH THE LEG EXTENSION.  THE LAT PULL DOWN IS A 1:1 RATIO/FULL RESISTANCE.  THE CABLE COLUMN PULLEYS ARE 1:4 RATIO AND WHEN USING BOTH PULLEYS TOGETHER YOU ARE GETTING HALF RESISTANCE. THE LEG PRESS OPTION DOUBLES YOUR RESISTANCE SO YOU ARE GETTING A 2:1 WEIGHT RATIO.

Chas Warkomski      2015-06-29

Is there a 5lb removable weight that can be added onto the stack of the M2? If so can two 5 lb weights be added together increasing the stack to 170 lbs. Can the cables handle 170 lbs?

YES THERE IS A 5LB REMOVABLE ADD ON WEIGHT AVAILABLE FOR THE M2.  YOU CAN ONLY ADD ONE 5LB ADD ON WEIGHT SINCE THERE IS ONLY ONE WEIGHT STACK ON THE UNIT.  A 50LB WEIGHT STACK UPGRADE IS ANOTHER OPTION TO CONSIDER.  THE CABLES ON THE UNIT HAVE A 2000LB TENSILE STRENGTH SO ADDING THE EXTRA WEIGHT IS NOT AN ISSUE.  BOTH THE 5LB ADD ON WEIGHT AND THE 50LB WEIGHT STACK UPGRADE ARE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE ONLINE.  PLEASE NOTE, IF YOU ADD THE 50LB WEIGHT STACK UPGRADE (5 EXTRA 10LB WEIGHT PLATES) TO THE M2 YOU MUST REMOVE THE WEIGHT STACK RISERS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WEIGHT STACK.

Darren      2015-05-04

After reading your blog is is correct that your M4 product is no longer available for purchase? If that is correct, which other products offer an iso-lateral workout that is the same as the M4? And does that product offer as many iso-lateral functions or less iso-lateral as the M4? Thanks for the pre-purchase help.

YES THE M4 HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED, HOWEVER, I WOULD SUGGEST CHECKING AVAILABILITY WITH YOUR LOCAL INSPIRE DEALER.  ANOTHER UNIT THAT I WOULD SUGGEST CHECKING OUT IS THE M3.  THE M3 OFFERS AN ISO-LATERAL PRESS AND LAT STATION.

Micah      2015-04-29

I noticed that over a year ago a poster asked about any plans to add an FT2 leg attachment. Has this been explored further or planned yet?

YES THERE IS A LEG EXTENSION CONVERSION KIT AVAILABLE FOR THE SCS WEIGHT BENCH TO THE FT2 FUNCTIONAL TRAINER

THE M1'S SIX PULL POINTS OFFER 50% RESISTANCE (1:2)

Lisa Young      2015-11-30

Are there significant differences between a new M2 and one that is 8 years old?

THE MOST SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE IS THE NEW M2 HAS A SEATED LEG EXTENSION AND LEG CURL AND A SWIVELING SIDE PULLEY.  THE NEW M2 ALSO COMES WITH ALUMINUM D HANDLES AND PEC FLY STRAPS.

Steve      2015-04-02

If I buy a m4 would parts be available still, how long for if so?

YES!  ALTHOUGH THE UNIT HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED, OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU AND GET YOU REPLACEMENT PARTS AS NEEDED.

Hi All, Interested in the M5 but only have 10 feet in width available. Is this pushing it? Prefer the M5 to the M3 for added functionality, but saw an earlier post recommending 12x12 space. Is this accurate? Thanks.

YOU SHOULD BE OK WITH 10 FEET OF SPACE

George Bonn      2015-03-23

Is there a way to use bands with the scs smith cage ?

THERE ARE NO HOOKS MADE SPECIFICALLY FOR BAND ATTACHMENTS ON THE SCS BUT THERE ARE AREAS THAT YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE BANDS ON THE UNIT IF YOU'D LIKE

NO- ONLY ONE MODEL OF THE M4

Looking for a poster or a chart of exercises for the FT2 that I can put on the wall.

THE FT2 COMES WITH AN EXERCISE FLIP CHART ON THE ACCESSORY RACK, IT DOES NOT HAVE A WALL CHART.

thomas johnson      2015-03-02

On the FT1, does the number labels start on the first plate, or the selector stem. I just want to make sure I get it right.

Sticker #1 is for the cap weight/selector stem.  #2 is for your first weight plate.

Kevin      2015-02-25

Have you discontinue the M4? Loved the features in a small footprint (e.g., rotating overhead pulleys for crossovers, movable bench and platform). Are you coming out with a replacement?

Good morning. What are the dimensions on your benches? I 5\'6\" and need a bench lower to the ground. I recently purchased an FT1. Would the scs bench fit and is it lower than 18 inches?

THE SCS BENCH IS ABOUT 19" FROM THE TOP OF THE SEAT PAD TO THE FLOOR.  THE FT1 BENCH IS ABOUT 20".  THE FOLDING BENCH WOULD BE THE LOWEST TO THE GROUND AT ABOUT 14".

David      2015-02-11

What are the dimensions of the box or boxes that the BL1 is shipped in?

BL1 BOX 1:  52 X 41 X 10

BL1 BOX 2:  55 X 14 X 7

Doug Haigh      2015-02-11

I am bench pressing with the pin in position 6. What is the free weight bench press equivalent? Even if it's not exact, I need an approximation. Thank you!

WHICH MACHINE ARE YOU USING?  EACH WEIGHT PLATE WEIGHS 10LBS.

NFL      2015-02-06

what is the appropriate floor space required for the M2 and how much of that is required for clearance for the back side?

AN 7X7 AREA WOULD BE IDEAL.  YOU DON'T REALLY NEED MUCH SPACE FOR THE BACK SIDE OF THE UNIT.

Mike Desiderio      2015-01-30

Am considering either the CS1 or the CS2. Are there any exercises that you can do on the CS2 that cannot be done on the CS1?

YES!

THE CS1 HAS A QUICK START PROGRAM WHICH ALLOWS THE USER TO MANUALLY CHANGE THE RESISTANCE UP OR DOWN

THE CS2 HAS THE SAME QUICK START PROGRAM AS WELL AS 6 TOTAL BODY PROGRAMS AND 2 UPPER BODY INTERVAL PROGRAMS

jorge      2015-01-30

RECENTLY bought an FT1,i would like to know in what way do i use the Strap, its nowhere in my user manual

RESISTANCE SQUATS

Brandon Hamel      2015-01-05

I have just started with the FT2 machine. I opten to coordinate a workout program which combos items such as chest/abs and/or shoulders/triceps. I have been using the illustrated manual as my guide to the workouts and my plan is when doing "shoulders" to make the workout all 6 excersizes 4 sets of 8 reps. Is this the best value of my time in your opinion? I noticed the workouts on the website combo quite a few areas but rather 3 sets of 10/15 reps. Just curious and hoping for an opinion from those smarter than me.

AS A GENERAL RULE:

HIGHER REPS AND LESS WEIGHT WILL GIVE YOU "TONE" MEANING, MUSCLE DEFINITION AND SHAPE

LESS REPS AND HEAVIER WEIGHT WILL BUILD STRENGTH AND MUSCLE MASS "BULK"

Kevin      2015-01-05

Does Inspire offer an upgrade package to aluminum pulleys for the M3?

NO WE DO NOT USE ALUMINUM PULLEYS ON OUR GYMS.  ALL OF OUR GYMS USE NYLON (NOT PLASTIC) PULLEYS.

A bby      2014-12-31

For the inspire M3 2014 model, what is the working floor space needed? Can you switch the lower floor pulley from the right side to the left side?

AN 8X8 AREA SHOULD WORK AND YES, YOU CAN SWITCH THE LOWER SWIVEL PULLEY TO EITHER THE LEFT OR RIGHT SIDE OF THE UNIT

Corrine      2014-12-31

How difficult is it to disassemble and move the M4? Can it be done with a couple of guys or should I have the company that set it up come out to move it for me. I looked through the manual but do not want to disassemble completely if I don't have to.

NO IT SHOULD BE PRETTY EASY IF YOU FOLLOW THE MANUAL/ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS.  I SUGGEST AT LEAST REMOVING THE WEIGHT STACK TO MAKE IT EASIER TO MOVE.  PLEASE CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE @ 877-738-1729 FOR ASSISTANCE

The M4 is unavaliable on your web site and was not on display at our local dealer. And the information sheet from our local dealer lists the M2,M3 and M5 not the M4. Is the M4 being discontinued? Our local dealer seemed to be pushing the M3 more than the M4.

YES- THE M4 HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED

Scott Hackman      2014-12-22

Where is the serial number located on a FT 1

THE SERIAL NUMBER ON THE FT1 IS ON A WHITE STICKER LOCATED BEHIND THE SHROUD, UNDER THE WEIGHT STACK.

joel      2014-12-22

will FT2 fit in a area that is 85 inches in height? I read that it needs a minimum of 83 inches and maximum of 88 inches.

THE PULL-UP BAR IS ADJUSTABLE IN HEIGHT TO ACCOMMODATE LOW CEILING HEIGHTS

MINIMUM HEIGHT: 83"

MAXIMUM HEIGHT: 88"

85" CEILING HEIGHT SHOULD FIT- JUST NOT MUCH ROOM TO DO PULL-UPS

Charlie      2014-12-22

When will the M3 workouts be updated to correspond with the latest model of the machine?

SELECT M3-2014 MULTI-GYM, THAT IS THE LATEST MODEL OF THE M3.

Jason      2014-12-22

I just purchased the FT2 and I am not sure what the real weight is when you using the bar for bench and squats. Before you add the multiplier what is the weight ratio? Also when your using just the one pully for working out for example one pully for tricep extension what's the weight ratio for that?

THE SMITH BAR HAS A 1:1 RATIO ON THE FT2.  THE WEIGHT MULTIPLIER DOUBLES THE RESISTANCE MAKING IT A 2:1 RATIO.  YOU ARE GETTING HALF RESISTANCE 1:2 FROM ONE PULLEY.

cal      2014-12-19

Just wondering if the FT1 can be switched to a 1:1 ratio instead of the 1:2 ratio?

NO- THE FT1 HAS A 1:2 RATIO

Kevin      2014-12-19

Are there any other significant differences between the FT2 and the SCS other than the bar attached to the weight stack on the FT2? What about differences for adding leg extension attachments? Thanks

YES, THE OPTIONAL LEG EXTENSION/LEG CURL ATTACHMENT HOOKS UP TO THE WEIGHT STACKS ON THE FT2.  THE SCS REQUIRES WEIGHT PLATES FOR THE OPTIONAL LEG EXTENSION.

David      2014-12-11

hi, I recently bought an ft1, having read through the maintenance booklet I have noticed it does not mention anywhere about lubricating the pulley wheels or cables but it does tell you to lubricate the rods with a teflon lubricant. I just wanted to ask if we are suppose to apply any kind of lubrication on the wheels and cables?

YES ONLY THE GUIDE RODS NEED TO BE LUBRICATED, DO NOT LUBRICATE THE PULLEYS OR CABLES.

Diane      2014-12-01

Hello, can you tell me if the leg curl attachment for the fid weight bench is adjustable, ie can the pads be moved closer to the bench (for short legs!) Thanks

YES THE LEG EXTENSION ATTACHMENT IS SLOTTED TO ADJUST THE HEIGHT UP OR DOWN

aaron      2014-11-14

With the FT1, is it possible to do leg presses (engaging both legs simultaneously) lying on your back on the floor or bench (either flat or inclined) ? Seems like there would be a safe way to do it. Thank you.

THERE ARE WAYS TO DO LUNGES AND SQUATS ON THE FT1 BUT THERE IS NOT A SAFE WAY TO DO A TRADITIONAL LEG PRESS ON THE FT1.

jaro      2014-11-12

Hi. Can y ou tell me if the CB1 air bike has twin belts for the drive train? Or is it one belt and one chain?

ONE BELT AND ONE CHAIN

Joe      2014-11-06

How many weight plates can the FT2 take, I have s sticker that says 21 but only count 20 weight plates per side.

YOU MAY NOT USE ALL OF THE STICKERS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE 200LB. WEIGHT STACK UPGRADE (THE UNIT COMES STANDARD WITH TWO 150LB. WEIGHT STACKS).  KEEP IN MIND, THE CAP WEIGHT IS STICKER #1.

MArk      2014-10-13

I recently got the Inspire M2 gym with leg press. I find the weight is not the same when being pulled from different pulleys. The top pulley seems a lot more heavy than the mid-pulley or lower pulley. I thought maybe I ran one of the cables the wrong way or something but I cannot see any error when comparing to all diagrams I can find.

THE M2 WITH THE LEG PRESS ATTACHMENT HAS A 2:1 RATIO, MEANING DOUBLE THE RESISTANCE.  THE TOP PULLEY IS 1:1 AND THE MID AND LOWER PULLEYS ARE HALF RESISTANCE OR 1:2 RATIO

Jeff      2014-10-01

How does the M4 work with the leg press? In other words, if you were to swing the main bench to the right to make room for cable crossovers, wouldn't the main bench hit the leg press? Or are they far enough apart? Or, does it swing both directions (i.e., right and left). Thanks.

THE M4 WILL WORK WITH THE LEG PRESS OPTION.  THE M4 BENCH SWINGS BOTH DIRECTIONS.

muhammad haris      2014-10-01

what is the main advantages of Inspire M 3 home gym compared to Inspire M 2 home gym?

THE M3 HAS AN ISO-LATERAL PRESS AND LAT STATION, AN ABDOMINAL CRUNCH STATION BUILT RIGHT INTO ITS HEAD PAD, DUAL BACK PAD TILT FOR SUPERIOR FIT AND COMFORT AND THE M3 COMES STANDARD WITH A 210LB. COMMERCIAL WEIGHT STACK.

Can I purchase addition weight plates for my M4?

THE M4 COMES STANDARD WITH THE HEAVY STACK (215LB. COMMERCIAL WEIGHT STACK) UPGRADE THEREFORE, YOU CANNOT ADD MORE WEIGHT PLATES TO THE WEIGHT STACK.

Nick Albers      2014-08-15

I just have a question about how the weight works on the FT1. If it comes with 2 165lb weight stacks with 2 5lb add on’s, that would be 170lb per side. If you purchased 2 additional 50lb weight upgrades, that would give you 220lb per side. So my question is that if you use both sides together, the max weight would be 220? Since this machine has .5 resistance, the max weight you could achieve per side is 110?

YES THAT IS CORRECT

Brian      2014-08-11

How do you adjust cable tension? I have one weight stack that hits before the other when using smith bar.

gary      2014-08-08

The video for the F2 Smith Bar states: "Because we have 265 lb stacks you start off with 165 lbs". In comparison to traditional free weight bench press, does this mean the minimum weight to bench press with the f2 smith bar is 165 lbs? if not, what is the minimum and the incremental increases as have wife and kids?

THE SMITH BAR ON THE FT2 WEIGHS 20LBS AND EACH WEIGHT PLATE WEIGHS 10LBS.

Andes      2014-08-01

I have the FT2, but one of the pullys is slightly loose. Resulting in it moving up and down a bit (making a clicking sound each time) as I exercise. Any tips on how to tighten it?

clyde duncan      2014-07-30

what is the weight capacity on the cb1?

300 LBS.

brett      2014-07-24

how much weight is each weight on the machine? if I am benching 4 weights on each side how much weight is that equivalent too on a standard bench?

EACH WEIGHT PLATE ON THE WEIGHT STACK IS 10LBS.

THE CAP WEIGHT AND SELECTOR STEM WEIGH APPROX. 11LBS.

Corie      2014-07-21

Hi, with regards to the M4, can you switch the lower pulley from the right side and build it on the left side of the machine instead? Thanks

YOU CANNOT SWITCH THE LOWER PULLEY ON THE M4, IT IS ONLY DESIGNED FOR THE ONE SIDE.

Claire      2014-07-21

On a previous post, you mentioned that the FT1 conveys half the actual resistance of the weight being lifted. Does that mean if one benched 130 pounds of literal weight (thus 65 pounds of resistance) using the FT1 that it would be the same as benching only 65 punds using a traditional barbell?

YOU ARE GETTING HALF RESISTANCE WITH ONE WEIGHT STACK, WHEN USING BOTH WEIGHT STACKS YOU ARE GETTING FULL RESISTANCE.

Mary      2014-06-20

What is the total moving weight of the M3

TOTAL WEIGHT OF THE M3 IS 538 LBS.

Cami      2014-06-09

Hi....can I do squats with the M4 machine?

HI!  NO, THE DESIGN OF THE UNIT DOES NOT ALLOW FOR SQUATS AS AN EXERCISE ON THE M4.

Kevin      2014-06-05

Looking at the F1, but not sure if I need the optional extra 50lb stacks at this point. Is it possible to buy and install them later?

ABSOLUTELY!  YOU CAN PURCHASE AND ADD THE 50LB WEIGHT STACK UPGARDE AT ANYTIME!

Richard      2014-07-24

I've got an original M3 model, probably 6-7 years old. I just started using it again and noticed that the new M3 has the isolated features. Is there any way to convert my existing M3 to a newer M3?

UNFORTUNATELY THE DESIGN OF THE M3 CHANGED AND THERE IS NOT A WAY TO CONVERT THE OLD STYLE TO THE NEW STYLE.

MNG      2014-05-22

How easy, or not, is it to install the FT2?

THE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS ARE VERY DETAILED AND THE HARDWARE PACKS ARE LAID OUT BY STEP WHICH MAKES THE INSTALL PRETTY SIMPLE AS LONG AS YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ACCORDINGLY.

Pete      2014-05-19

Would like to find a large laminated wall chart for my new M3

Tony      2014-05-01

What's the best way to move an M2? It's the older M2 model. I'm thinking separating the weights from the rest of the machine and renting a uhaul to transport it. What's the best way to take the gym apart and transport safely and put back together properly? Thank you.

YES I WOULD FIRST REMOVE THE WEIGHT STACK.  IF YOU NEED TO DISASSEMBLE THE UNIT MORE THAN JUST THE WEIGHT STACK THEN FOLLOW THE OWNER'S MANUAL FOR ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS WHICH IS AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE.  IF YOU HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS, PLEASE CALL OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE @ 714-738-1729.

Quan      2015-02-06

I have a 2013 Inspire M3. Is it possible to remove the leg extension and the cables for it. Thanks

YOU CANNOT REMOVE THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY; PART OF THE LEG EXTENSION IS WELDED TO THE SEAT BASE FRAME.  YOU CAN HOWEVER, REMOVE THE LEG EXTENSION CABLE AND L/E CAM ASSEMBLY.

Tom      2014-04-17

What does it mean when it says the resistance is 2:1? Does it mean that the weights feel twice as heavy as the actually are?

YES, 2:1 RATIO MEANS YOU ARE GETTING TWICE THE RESISTANCE.

Allison      2014-04-17

I have a 3 year old Inspire CS2. It has squeaked periodically since I purchased it, and now it is squeaking all the time. It seems to be coming from the left side as I pedal. Is lubrication needed, and if so where, and what should I be using?

PLEASE CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE @ 714-738-1729

THEY WILL SEND YOU THE PART THAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED ON THE UNIT.

Em      2014-04-17

Is there any possible way I can order it and ship it to Thailand

YES

Derek      2014-04-15

Do you guys find a lot of people use the scs smith as a free weight cage with just a normality bar bell for squats and bench presses ect

THE SCS UNIT IS AVAILABLE AS A POWER RACK ALONE OR AS A SMITH MACHINE ALONE WHICH IN THAT CASE YES, MOST PEOPLE WILL USE THE SCS FOR SQUATS AND BENCH PRESSES.  HOWEVER, THE UNIT FULLY LOADED HAS AN ADJUSTABLE HIGH/LOW PULLEY SYSTEM WHICH OFFERS USERS A WIDE VARIETY OF FUNCTIONAL AND SPORT SPECIFIC EXERCISES.  CHECK OUT SOME OF THESE EXERCISE VIDEOS ON OUR WEBSITE!

Silvano      2014-04-14

for FT1 the depth is 47inches does that include space for the back tray that holds all the accesories to spin completely around? do i need to have the functional trainer stick out more from the wall i want to put it up against?

IN ORDER FOR THE ACCESSORY RACK TO SPIN COMPLETELY AROUND ON THE FT1, THE DEPTH OF THE UNIT CHANGES TO 51"

Todd      2014-04-10

What is the total standing weight of the FT2 unit - frame, weights, and all together?

731 LBS.

Chad      2014-04-10

I have inspire scs system, is there a max weight capacity for the smith bar?

1000LBS.

Gary      2014-04-01

What lube do you recommend for FT2?

SUPER LUBE.  PLEASE CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE @ 714-738-1729, THEY WILL SEND YOU SOME.

Dan      2014-04-01

The FT2 is 5\' wide, but I see you recommend a minimum of 10x10 floor space. Why the need for 2.5\' on each side?

IT'S RECOMMENDED TO ALLOW THE USER ENOUGH SPACE FOR FULL USE AROUND THE UNIT, YOU COULD GET AWAY WITH A SMALLER AREA IF NEEDED.

Mike      2014-03-25

Thanks for the gym mat tip. Are there plans to add a Leg Press attachment to the FT2 in the near future? This will certainly complete the versatility of the machine.

I WILL RECOMMEND THAT OPTION BUT AS OF RIGHT NOW THERE ARE NO PLANS FOR A LEG PRESS ATTACHMENT TO THE FT2.

Mike      2014-03-24

Just wondering if the FT2 can be placed on a heavy duty rubber gym mat placed over a carpeted floor. I\'ve a couple of 6x4 gym mats that I am planning to lay them down side by side over the carpeted floor and place my FT2 on top. Please let me know if this will work or will there be any wobbling issues. Thanks.

IF IT IS A THIN INDOOR/OUTDOOR TYPE CARPET THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM.  IF IT IS A REALLY THICK RUBBER MAT ON THICK CARPET THEN YOU MIGHT HAVE A STABILITY ISSUE.  I WOULD RECOMMEND A FIRM GYM EQUIPMENT MAT VERSUS A THICK RUBBER MAT.

Johan      2015-02-06

What thickness floor mat would you recommend with the FT2? 12mm or 20mm?

EITHER WOULD WORK.  I THINK ULTIMATELY IT DEPENDS ON THE TYPE SURFACE YOU ARE PUTTING IT ON, JUST DON'T GO TOO THICK OR YOU MIGHT HAVE A STABILITY ISSUE.

Anders      2014-03-20

Can you use the same bench and Leg Extension Conversion Kit to the FT2 with the PT1?

NO.  THE SCS-WB LEG EXTENSION CONVERSION KIT ONLY WORKS ON THE FT2.

James      2015-02-06

What is the ideal floor space for the FT2?

MINIMUM 10 X 10

Gustavo Azoubel      2014-03-18

I am planning on buying the M5. What is the minimum space requirement?

M5 DIMENSIONS:

LENGTH 100" X WIDTH 88" X HEIGHT 83.5"-85"

I WOULD SUGGEST A 12 X 12 AREA

Johan      2014-03-13

Does the weight multiplier on the FT2 work just like on the PT1? You can 2x the weight on the cable pulls? Or is it only for on the smith bar?

THE WEIGHT MULTIPLIER FUNCTION ON THE FT2 ONLY WORKS FOR THE SMITH BAR

FT2      2014-03-11

for the ft2 can we performe traditional lat pull down with a with a bar??

YES

Brian      2015-11-30

I’m still trying to decide on which piece of equipment I would like to get. But I’m really looking at the FT2 functional trainer. I saw it in several different stores. After talking with several sales reps. I am under the impression that the leg extension piece that goes into the scs or ft1 bench can be hooked up to the cabling system in the rear of the machine. Is this correct? Or do I have to use regular Olympic style weights? I see the dimensions of the machine. But what is the ideal space needed to use this machine to its full potentials? Thank you for your time.

IF YOU ARE GETTING THE FT2 UNIT AND LOOKING TO PURCHASE A BENCH AND THE LEG EXTENSION OPTION THEN YOU WILL WANT TO GO WITH THE SCS BENCH.  THE FT1 BENCH DOES NOT HOOK UP TO THE FT2 UNIT AND WILL REQUIRE OLYMPIC STYLE WEIGHTS.  THE SCS BENCH HAS AN ADAPTOR KIT WHICH WILL HOOK UP TO USE THE CABLING SYSTEM ON THE FT2 AND THEREFORE, USE THE WEIGHT STACK ON THE UNIT.  I WOULD RECOMMEND AT LEAST A 10X10 OR 12X12 AREA.

Eric      2014-07-24

Hi, I would like to know if it is possible to get 100% of the weight on the top pulleys of the ft-2 by switching the ratio from .5 to 1:1 like on the cxt-100 from TuffStuff.

YOU ARE GOING TO GET HALF UNLESS YOU COMBINE THE TWO SPRING CLIPS TOGETHER AT THE TOP PULLEYS AND USE BOTH SIDES OF THE WEIGHT STACK FOR A 1:1 RATIO.

budwizest      2014-02-25

Hi, I have a ceiling ht. of 78 3/4 inches (78.75 inches). Will it be possible to install the M2 given the ht restriction? Looking at the manual, i think the challenge is going to be step 32/33 for tightening the shroud plate assembly. Is it possible to tighten the knobs from the side given a clearance of only 3/4 inches? Thanks!

IT IS POSSIBLE TO INSTALL THE M2 WITH 78.75 INCHES OF CLEARANCE BUT YOU WILL RUN INTO A PROBLEM WITH TIGHTENING DOWN THE SHROUD PLATES.  YOU WILL HAVE TO SOMEHOW COME FROM THE INSIDE OF THE WEIGHT STACK WITH PLIERS AND TIGHTEN IT DOWN THAT WAY, THERE IS NOT ENOUGH ROOM TO COME FROM THE SIDE OR TOP TO TIGHTEN THE SHROUD WITH THAT MINIMAL CLEARANCE SPACE.

Ingo      2014-02-25

Thx for answering my last question. I know about the weight multiplier mechanism for the olympic bar and the heavy stack upgrade option to 200lb. My concerns are more targeting the weight capacity of the 8 pulleys. Would it for example be possible to add 2 weight upgrade kits to achieve a maximum weight of 250lb for each stack while shortening the cables or something like that? Thx

THE MAX WEIGHT ON EACH WEIGHT STACK IS 200LBS AND YOU SHOULD NOT SHORTEN THE CABLES.  THE ONLY OTHER ADDITIONAL WEIGHT WOULD BE A 5LB ADD ON WEIGHT THAT YOU CAN ADD TO EACH WEIGHT STACK.

Ingo      2014-03-19

Hi, I am interested in the FT2 but I\\\'m quite unsure if the max. weight will suffer my needs due to the 0.5 pulley ratio (especially for lat exercises). Is there any way to increase the weight of the weight stacks?

THE FT2 HAS A WEIGHT MULTIPLIER FEATURE THAT DOUBLES THE MAXIMUM RESISTANCE TO ACCOMMODATE HEAVY LIFTERS.  THE UNIT COMES STANDARD WITH TWO 150LB COMMERCIAL WEIGHT STACKS AND HAS A 200LB HEAVY STACK UPGRADE OPTION AVAILABLE.

Mike      2014-02-11

Does the "Leg Extension SCS" fit the FT1, and if so, when will it be available?

THE LEG EXTENSION WILL FIT BOTH THE SCS BENCH AND THE FT1 BENCH AND BOTH BENCHES WILL WORK WITH THE FT1 UNIT BUT WILL REQUIRE WEIGHT PLATES.  THE SCS BENCH IS THE ONLY BENCH THAT HAS AN ADAPTOR THAT WILL HOOK UP TO THE FT2 UNIT UTILIZING THE WEIGHT STACK ON THE FT2 UNIT.

DRS      2015-02-06

Hi, I would like to know what the is maximum height of the M2 multi gym. The description indicates 78" but I read somewhere that its higher with the head stock fully extended?

THE MAXIMUM HEIGHT ON THE M2 IS 78", IT IS NOT ADJUSTABLE LIKE THE M3.

JB      2014-02-05

What is the status on being able to order the functional trainer unit?

THE FUNCTIONAL TRAINER SHOULD BE BACK IN STOCK IN ABOUT ONE TO TWO WEEKS.

Bryant      2014-02-05

Hi, I’m excited to see that your M2 and M3 have been upgraded! When did those come out? Is the new M2’s leg curl a seated leg curl? Can the M3’s iso lateral components, press arm, lat station and the leg press be “pin together†as non iso lateral, so I can enable the iso lateral functionality only when I wish to? Thank you

THE NEW VERSIONS OF THE M2 AND M3 HAVE ONLY BEEN OUT FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS!  YES THE NEW M2 HAS A SEATED LEG EXTENSION AND LEG CURL.  THE NEW M3 IS ONLY DESIGNED TO WORK AS AN ISO-LATERAL UNIT.

Is there a recommended antibacterial cleaning solution so I don't damage the seat or head rest? I've looked for this info on the site without success. If it's there pls link me to it. Thanks.

WE RECOMMEND USING A DAMP CLOTH OR SPONGE WITH SOAP AND WATER

TL      2014-02-03

My basement ceiling is 79 inches in height. The M2 specifications indicate the unit is 78 inches in height. Will it be possible to assemble the unit with only 1 inch of clearance?

IT IS POSSIBLE TO ASSEMBLE THE UNIT WITH ONLY 1 INCH OF CLEARANCE, HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM WOULD BE TIGHTENING DOWN THE SHROUD.  YOU WOULD HAVE TO TIGHTEN THE SHROUD FROM INSIDE THE WEIGHT STACK VERSUS FROM THE TOP OF THE WEIGHT STACK.

Stefan      2014-02-03

I just purchased the latest M3 with Iso-lateral Press and Lat Stations and have a few questions. 1) What is the weight of the cap (I see on the M3 page it lists both 210 and 215 for total weight stack on the Info Tab, so not sure if it\'s 10 or 15)? 2) What is the ratio on the Leg Extension/Curl Pulley? 3) What is the latest ratio on the Press Station (I see both 1.2 and 1.3 listed in this blog)?

1.  THE CAP WEIGHT AND SELECTOR STEM WEIGH APPOX. 10 LBS

2.  LEG EXTENSION/CURL RATIO IS 1:1

3.  PRESS ARM TOGETHER RATIO IS 1:1, ONE SIDE 1:2

AW      2014-01-29

Can additional equipment be added to an M2 to make it an M5?

THERE IS A LEG PRESS OPTION AVAILABLE TO ADD TO THE M2 BUT NOT A PREACHER CURL STATION LIKE THE M5.  YOU CAN HOWEVER, PURCHASE A BENCH SEPERATELY AND ADD A PREACHER CURL ATTACHMENT TO THE BENCH.  KEEP IN MIND THAT THE BENCH WOULD NOT ATTACH TO THE M2 UNIT IT WOULD BE A SEPERATE UNIT.  THE LEG PRESS, HOWEVER, WILL ATTACH SIMILAR TO THE CONFIGURATION OF THE M5.

Bala      2014-01-28

Hi, I am planning to get BL1 for my home. I wish to check how much would be total weight of the equipment. I wish to check whether I need any special care for my wooden flooring for the heavy weight of the machine. Please let me know the total weight of equipment.

BL1 WEIGHS 231 LBS.

I WOULD RECOMMEND AN EXERCISE EQUIPMENT MAT TO PROTECT YOUR WOOD FLOORS

On a Inspire M5 multi-gym, how much does each plate in the stack weigh? ie. how many pounds am I lifting if lifting the top 4 plates?

EACH WEIGHT PLATE ON THE WEIGHT STACK IS 10LBS.

THE CAP WEIGHT AND SELECTOR STEM WEIGHT APPOX. 9LBS.

murray      2014-01-13

Are your products sold in Canada?

YES

Larry      2014-01-10

Can the lower pulley and leg press sides of the M3 be reversed? How much free space beyond the M3 footprint do you recommend for lower pulley exercises?

YES YOU CAN MOUNT THE LEG PRESS TO EITHER SIDE OF THE UNIT.

8X8 AREA IS THE MINIMUM RECOMMENDED; 10X10 IS IDEAL

Bruce Comeau      2014-01-10

We are looking to purchase from fitness depot.... What is the minimum space requirement for an M4 without leg press.? Also, with the M4 being discontinued , what will the warranty and support be for this unit going forward?

8X8 MINIMUM / 10x10 IDEAL

WARRANTY IS LIMITED LIFETIME FOR ALL PARTS FOR CONSUMER USE (IN HOME) AND TEN YEAR LIMITED FOR ALL PARTS IN A LIGHT COMMERCIAL SETTING

Hi , any ideas on some workout programs that would work well with the ft2, thanks

PLEASE CHECK OUT OUR WORKOUT TAB ON OUR WEBSITE FOR THE FT2 UNIT.  YOU HAVE 3 WORKOUT TYPES TO CHOOSE FROM:

BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED

John      2014-01-10

Hello, I purchased the 50lb add on for my FT1, and there is far too much slack in the cables even after adjusting as suggested in the manual. Is there anything else that can be done?

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE REMOVED THE WEIGHT STACK RISERS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WEIGHT STACK

Bob      2014-01-09

A few quick questions: 1) Can I use the SCS bench with the FT1?) Can I use the SCS bench with the FT1?) Can I use the SCS bench with the FT1? 2) Does the seat of the SCS bench adjust (ie raise for incline)? 3)Can the SCS bench leg attachment be used with the FT1 (cable attachment) or just with weight plates? Thanks

1.  YES YOU CAN USE THE SCS BENCH WITH THE FT1

2.  YES THE SEAT ON THE SCS BENCH DOES ADJUST

3.  THE SCS BENCH DOES NOT HAVE A CABLE ATTACHMENT TO USE WITH THE PULLEY WEIGHT SYSTEM ON THE FT1, IT WOULD REQUIRE WEIGHT PLATES.  THE SCS BENCH ONLY HAS A CABLE ATTACHMENT FOR THE FT2

Steve      2014-01-09

How do you do a preacher curl on the M3 (as suggested in one of the advanced workouts)? Thanks.

PREACHER CURL ON M3:

1.  ATTACH ONE STRAP HANDLE TO THE LOWER PULLEY

2.  SIT FACING AWAY FROM THE MACHINE WITH YOUR ELBOW ON THE ROLLER PAD

3.  ADJUST THE SEAT HEIGHT, IF NEEDED, TO GRIP THE STRAP HANDLE

4.  PULL THE HANDLE TOWARDS YOU

5.  SLOWLY RETURN TO THE STARTING POSITION

Unfortunately after a flood, the wall chart for my inspire M3 has been destroyed. While I appreciate the PDF version, is there any way that I can order a new / original one?  ANSWER:  CALL US AT 714-738-1729 AND ASK FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.  WE HAVE THEM IN STOCK FOR YOU.

Mike      2013-12-12

I purchased a FT1 and had it professionally installed in a quiet environment. One of the stacks has a noticeable swishing sound when the stacks go up and down. The installers did not leave any lubricant. It is not grabbing or sticking, best I can tell…but it is very noticeable. Should I ignore the problem or have it adjusted? What kind of lube should I use?  ANSWER:  WE RECOMMEND A PRODUCT CALLED SUPER LUBE.  IT'S CLEAR AND HAS A HIGHER VISCOSITY THAN SPRAY LUBRICANTS.  SPRAY WILL RUN DOWN YOUR GUIDE RODS AND POOL ON YOUR WEIGHT PLATES.

Jeff      2015-02-06

Do you know what the dimensions/footprint is for the Inspire Power Tower WITHOUT the weight stack upgrade and WITHOUT the functional training arms? I am looking to add this with the FT2 in my home gym for dips and VKR, but I have limited space. Thanks much!  ANSWER:  W=55" X D=45".

Sergio      2014-01-08

Hi, I have just bought an INSPIRE PT1 serial# 4-12-02-023887 and I have two questions: 1.- Can I upgrade the weights to have a total of 200 pounds. 2.- Wich is the real lifting weight for each weight plate using the pulleys? For example, if I am putting the pin in the number 8 weight plate and I am doing cable crossover, what would it be the real weighting lifting? Best regards, Sergio.  ANSWER:  YES, YOU CAN REMOVE THE WEIGHT STACK RISERS AND ADD 50LBS.  WHEN BOTH CABLES ARE ATTACHED TO THE D HANDLES YOU GET 50% RESISTANCE FROM EACH HANDLE.  WHEN YOU RELEASE ONE CABLE FROM EACH D HANDLE YOU GET 25% RESISTANCE FROM EACH.

Graham      2013-11-25

I see that the FT2 is unavailable, just wondering if it's coming back anytime soon?  ANSWER:  LIMITED AVAILABILITY UNTIL END OF DECEMBER.

mazen      2015-11-30

debating between the M4 and the M5, not sure which one to buy. It seems the M5 offers more features but priced comperably to the M4.  ANSWER:  THE M4 OFFERS ISO-LATERAL EXERCISES AND THE M5 OFFERS TWO WEIGHT STACKS FOR MULITPLE USERS.  YOU NEED TO DECIDE WHICH IS MORE IMPORTANT TO YOU.

Ryan      2013-11-25

Thinking of buying the FT1. I\'d like to bulk up a bit and tone, but worried that there won\'t be enough weight to do that. Should I go with free weights over a functional trainer like the FT1? What\'s the benefit of the FT1 over free weights? Thanks!  ANSWER:  I WOULD RECOMMEND THE FT-2.  YOU GET ALL OF THE FUNCTIONAL CAPABILITY OF THE FT-1, WITH THE BENEFIT OF AN OLYMPIC BAR FOR COMPOUND MOVEMENTS.  MAXIMUM AVAILABLE WEIGHT IS 350LBS FOR THE REGULAR STACKS.  450LBS WITH THE OPTIONAL HEAVY STACKS.

Melinda      2013-11-06

Just had the company set up my M5 with leg press and was wondering if the Bar that comes with it can be put through both foot pedals, so you can use solid instead of Iso Lateral. Or is it for storage only. Thanks and love the machine but trying to get used to what do do, I\'m a newbie  ANSWER:  YES THE CHROME BAR SLIDES THROUGHT THE HOLES IN THE "U" BRACKETS THAT HOLD THE PEDALS.  ONCE IN PLACE YOU WILL NOTICE TWO ADJUSTABLE RUBBER BUMPERS BEHIND THE CHROME BAR.  ADJUST THEM BOTH OUT UNTIL THEY PRESS AGAINST THE CHROME BAR.  THIS LOCKS THE BAR INTO POSITION AND MAKES THE FOOT PLATES RIGID.

Ian      2013-11-25

I recently moved and misplaced the chain. How long is the chain that comes with the M2?  ANSWER: 16"

peter      2013-11-06

how does the leg press attach to the ft2? does it use the center cables where the bench would go or is it off to the side?  ANSWER:  I BELIEVE YOU ARE REFERRING TO THE LEG EXTENSION ATTACHMENT.  ONCE IN PLACE AT THE END OF THE BENCH, CABLES RUN FROM THE BOTTOM SET OF LOW PULLEYS DIRECTLY UNDER THE BENCH AND ATTACH TO THE LEG EXTENSION ATTACHEMENT.

peter      2013-10-26

i am very interested in the ft 2, i was wondering if there is a way to attach a leg press onto the machine also?  JUST ANSWERED ON A PREVIOUS BLOG.  SEE BELOW.

Jeff      2013-10-26

Sorry, one more question. Does the weight multiplier feature of the FT2 only apply to the smith bar? Is there a way to increase the resistance of any of the 8 pulley points from half resistance to full resistance? Either way, I am excited to purchase the machine. Best.  ANSWER:  BAR ONLY.  WHICH IS WHERE IT IS NEEDED BECAUSE THE BAR ALLOWS THE USER TO DO TRUE COMPOUND MOVEMENTS LIKE SQUAT, FLAT BENCH PRESS AND DEAD LIFT.

Jeff      2013-10-26

Quick questions: 1) Will the inspire leg press attachment also attach to the FT2 like it does for other inspire multigyms? 2) If not, are there any plans to add a leg press attachment (sold separately) for the FT2 in the future? I am also confused as to the height of the machine. It says that the maximum height is either 88" or 83"? Which area of the machine is raised if you set it up for the higher height? Just the pullup bar? The pullup bar and top cable pulleys? The entire top of the machine? Thanks.  ANSWER:  THE FT-2 OFFERS TRADITIONAL SQUAT, FRONT SQUAT, LUNGES AND VERTICAL LEG PRESS WITHOUT THE NEED FOR AN EXTERNAL LEG PRESS ATTACHMENT.  ONLY THE FRONT END OF THE TOP BEAM ADJUSTS UP WHEN THE MACHINE IS ADJUSTED TO MAX HEIGHT.

Tom      2013-10-26

Can the leg press attachment be used with the F2?  ANSWER:  YES, THE LEG ATTACHEMENT WORKS GREAT WITH THE FT2.  IT IS NECESSARY TO BUY THE ADAPTER KIT, HOWEVER.  ONCE YOU ADD THE LEG DEVELOPER TO THE END OF THE BENCH AND SLIDE IT INSIDE THE FT2, THE ADAPTER KIT TIES THE LEG DEVELOPER ARM TO THE WEIGHT STACKS ON THE FT2.  FEELS AS GOOD AS ANYTHING IN A CLUB.

Michael      2013-10-26

How do I convert weight numbers 1-20 to actual weight in pounds. I am trying to figure percent of body weight exerted for each exercise but I need a formula or table to convert each setting 1-20 to the actual weight that is applied for each position. Can you help me with this?  ANSWER:  THE BENCH PRESS HANDLES ARE SET TO A 1.2:1 RATIO.  THIS MEANS THAT YOU NEED TO MULTIPLY THE WEIGHT YOU PIN BY 1.2 TO GET THE ACTUAL RESISTANCE IN POUNDS.  FOR INSTANCE, IF YOU PIN FIVE WEIGHT PLATES YOU TAKE THE TOTAL WEIGHT OF THE PLATES WHICH IS 50LBS, PLUS THE WEIGHT OF THE CAP WEIGHT WHICH IS 10LBS AND MULTIPLY THAT TOTAL BY 1.2.  SO THE ANSWER IS 72LBS.  THE HIGH PULLEY IS SET TO A 1:1 RATIO, SO 5 WEIGHT PLATES PLUS THE CAP WEIGHT EQUALS 60LBS.  THAT IS YOUR RESISTANCE.  THE MID AND LOW PULLEYS ARE SET TO A .5:1 RATIO.  SO, IF YOU PIN THAT SAME 5 WEIGHT PLATES, YOUR RESISTANCE WOULD BE 50LBS PLUS 10LBS FOR THE CAP WEIGHT X .5.  60 X .5 = 30LBS.

David      2013-10-04

Several quick questions: 1. Is the SCS bench being changed or discontinued? It shows unavailable on the site. 2. Do the dimensions for the FT-2 with SCS bench of 89\" include the leg developer? 3. Any slated changes for the FT-2 Thank you    ANSWERS: 1.) SCSWB OUT OF STOCK UNTIL NEXT WEEK.  2.) YES  3.) NO

David      2013-10-04

Is the 89' length on the FT-2 with SCS bench including the leg extension?  ANSWER: YES

I am interested in the FT2. What are the ratios of the narrow fixed position high and low (both pairs) pulleys? I have not been able to find this information anywhere.  ALL EIGHT PULL POINTS ON THE FT2 OFFER HALF (.5) RESISTANCE.

Daniel      2013-10-04

Hi again, I finally went ahead and bought the full (3 boxes) SCS smith cage system with two 50 lbs weight plate upgrades. Very good quality product I must say! A few more questions: 1. Will the foot lock from the SCS bench (that I do not have) fit on the low pulley assembly of the SCS smith cage system for seated rows? If so, can I order it online from Canada? 2. What type/brand of lubricant should I use for weight stack rods? 3. Weight stack shrouds, are they sold separately? I did not get them. 4. What is the total weight of the full SCS cage with two 200 lbs stacks? Thanks.  ANSWER:  1.)YES, THE LEG HOLD DOWN BAR FROM THE SCS BENCH CAN BE ADDED TO THE RECEPTICLE BETWEEN THE WEIGHT STACKS AND USED AS A FOOT BRACE. IT IS AVAILABLE ON OUR WEB SITE  2.) WE RECOMMEND A PRODUCT CALLED SUPER LUBE.  ULTIMATLY, ANY CLEAR GREASE WILL WORK.   A SPRAY LUBE TENDS TO RUN DOWN THE GUIDE RODS AND POOL ON YOUR PLATES...QUITE MESSY.  3.)  WEIGHT STACK SHROUDS ARE PACKAGED SEPARATELY.  SOME RETAILERS PRICE THE UNIT WITH SHROUDS, SOME WITHOUT.  4.)  ROUGHLY 950LBS.

Does anyone know how much the M2 weighs? I'm wanting to put it on a second floor.  ANSWER:  THE M2 WEIGHS 400LBS.

Cathy      2014-01-08

How long has the company who makes M3 etc been around? even with a lifetime warranty what's the guarantee the company will still be in business.  ANSWER:  NO GUARANTEE ANY COMPANY REGARDLESS OF YEARS IN BUSINESS WILL STAY IN BUSINESS.  HOWEVER, SINCE 2005, INSPIRE FITNESS HAS BEEN PROVIDING AWARD WINNING CUSTOMER SERVICE.  COMBINE THAT WITH EXCEPTIONAL PRODUCTS AND CHANCES ARE PRETTY HIGH INSPIRE FITNESS WILL BE AROUND FOR DECADES TO COME.

Craig      2013-09-12

I recently purchased the FT2 and love the machine! I was wondering what the weight is of the very top plate and guide rod assembly so I can calculate a close estimate of what I'm lifting on top of the regular 10lb weights that you need to use the pin with.  ANSWER:  THE CAP WEIGHT AND SELECTOR STEM COMBINED WEIGH 10LBS.

Daniel      2015-11-30

Hi, I’m considering buying a FT2 or SCS for my home gym. Do you have a brochure for the FT2 like the one for SCS on which I would be able find a floor plan? For my home gym layout I would like to have an image showing the exact footprint of the FT2 or at least some dimensions for front width, back width and depth of FT2 base and not just overall dimension. Also, are you guys planning on adding some sort of foot plate attachment for FT2 or SCS to help support seated rows?  ANSWER: THE FT2 BROCHURE WILL BE ADDED TO THE WEB SITE BY THE END OF DAY TOMORROW.  THE DIMENSIONS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR ARE ON IT.  USE THE LEG LOCK FROM YOUR SCS BENCH AS SUPPORT FOR SEATED ROWS.  IT SLIDES INTO THE LOW ROW ASSEMBLY AND LOCKS IN PLACE.

Bryant      2013-09-12

Hi, can I perform a decline chest press with the press arm on the M3? I'm thinking tilting the lower back adjustment all the way to the front and the back pad all the way to the back may simulate that? I know I can do decline exercises with the handles but I prefer using the press arm. Thanks  ANSWER: YES, YOU ARE EXACTLY CORRECT. MOVING THE LOWER BACK PAD ADJUSTMENT ALL THE WAY FORWARD SIMULATES A DECLINE PRESS.

Mark      2013-08-14

I have an FT 1 functional trainer and was curious as to how much weight you actually are lifting per plate given the pulley system. Great product by the way I have been using it for almost 3 years and I look better than I ever have. You can really get creative with the exercises you can do with it. I love it.  ANSWER:  THE FT-1 OFFERS HALF RESISTANCE, SO EACH 10LB PLATE GIVES THE USER 5LBS OF RESISTANCE.

Sean      2013-08-14

I purchased the BL-1 on 8-4-13. I am trying to locate the serial number to register the warranty but cannot seem to locate it. Can you tell me where to look?  ANSWER:  THE SERIAL NUMBER IS LOCATED JUST BEHIND THE LEG EXTENSION ARM, ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE FRAME.

Leah      2013-08-02

HI I was going to get the M5 but are now thinking of purchasing the M3 and another machine. What machine woudl you recommend to go with the M3 or is the M3 enough. I have a treadmill.  ANSWER:  THE M3 IS HARD TO BEAT WHEN IT COMES TO PROVIDING A VARIETY OF EXERCISES WITH A SINGLE WEIGHT STACK.  THE REASONS TO UPGRADE TO THE M5 WOULD BE IF A) THERE WILL BE MULTIPLE USERS AT THE SAME TIME, OR  B) YOU CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT THE UNIQUE FEATURES THE M5 PROVIDES.  THESE EXERCISES INCLUDE PRECHER CURLS, HYPER-EXTENSIONS & CALF RAISES.  GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR DECISION.  YOU CAN'T GO WRONG EITHER WAY.

Jon      2013-07-15

I have an M3 Gym with the Leg Press. I was reading on bodybuilder.com that there was a customer with the same setup that had put a cable resistance package on to double the weight. I was wondering if this was something that you had sold, or if it was something they had put together themselves? Also wondering if just the leg press could have a pulley changed to make it 2:1 rather than 1.5:1 ratio?  ANSWER:  THE LEG PRESS IS ALREADY 2:1 RATIO.

Paul G      2013-07-15

Hi, just wondering how much dissasembly is required to move an M2? Will it fit through a standard doorway?  ANSWER:  NO, YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE THE PRESS ARM AT THE VERY MINIMUM.  YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE WEIGHT STACK AS WELL, OR YOU COULD BEND THE GUIDE RODS.

Shari      2013-07-15

Hi, Just bought an FT2 and had it installed by the store i bought it from. The right side pulley seems to stick a lot especially when doing light weights . My husband lubed it up more but still not working correctly.  ANSWER: LOOSEN THE FOUR BOLTS ON THE CARRIAGE.  THOSE FOUR BOLTS HOLD THE ROLLERS THAT RIDE UP AND DOWN THE CHROME ADJUSTMENT RAILS.  THE ROLLERS ARE MOST LIKELY TOO TIGHT AND ARE SQUEEZING THE RAIL.  LOOSENING THE BOLTS THAT HOLD THE ROLLERS A BIT SHOULD DO THE TRICK.

Mark      2013-07-15

Just assembled my M3 and have one question: if I screw the cable bolt all the way into the top weight, it 'floats' about 1" above the stack. Makes it hard to engage pin into stack. I have checked all pulleys, routing, etc, and all stops are screwed fully inward. Is there a fix? Thanks!  ANSWER:  THIS IS NORMAL.  YOU NEED TO SEAT THE CABLES.  IT IS ONE OF THE LAST STEPS IN THE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS.  PIN HALF THE STACK OR MORE.  SIT DOWN AND PRESS THE WEIGHT OUT TO ARMS LENGTH.  GENTLY BOUNCE THE WEIGHT A FEW TIME AND SLOWLY RETURN THE WEIGHT BACK DOWN.  THIS SEATS THE CABLES TIGHTLY INTO THE GROOVES OF ALL THE PULLEYS.  IT ALSO STRETCHED THE CABLES A BIT. REPEAT OF NECESSARY UNTIL THE CAP WEIGHT RESTS ON THE WEIGHT STACK.

Darren      2013-07-15

i have an SCS Smith machine and need replacement pins for the weight stacks. Does anyone know where i can purchase new ones?  ANSWER:  CALL INSPIRE FITNESS AT 714-738-1729 AND ASK FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.  YOU CAN PURCHASE ANY PART YOU NEED.

theresa&chris      2013-06-28

we just bought the BL1 inspire machine and I was wondering if anyone knows what the increments ratio to body weight are? We looked in the owners manual and online workouts and can\'t seem to find this information.  ANSWER:  THERE IS NO EXACT ANSWER, BUT I TELL PEOPLE THAT EACH OF THE 15 POSITIONS REPRESENT 10% OF THE USER'S BODY WEIGHT.

Lourens      2013-06-28

I bought the FT1 Functional trainer. In the box I found two bottles with lubrication. With is the difference between the two?  ANSWER:  ONE IS TOUCH-UP PAINT, THE OTHER IS GUIDE ROD LUBRICANT.

Lou      2013-06-28

Hi, Can I use the Preacher Curl and Leg Extension attachments with the FT1 Bench or is it only for the SCS Bench?  THE PREACHER WORKS FINE.  THE L/E IS OK, BUT NOT IDEAL BECAUSE THE GAP BETWEEN THE BENCH SEAT AND ROLLER PADS IS A BIT BIG FOR SOME.  I RECOMMEND BUYING THE SCS BENCH IF YOU WANT A PERFECT FIT.

Jasmyne      2013-06-28

Does anyone know how much the M3 weighs?  ROUGHLY 500LBS.

Tim      2013-06-28

Own an FT1, had it installed professionally. I've noticed that the pin for one of the weight stacks is difficult to get in. Once it goes in, the pulley rises and makes one side slightly higher than the other. What should I do to fix this issue?  ANSWER:  REMOVE THE PULLEY DIRECTLY ABOVE THE WEIGHT STACK.   THE "U" BRACKET THAT HOLDS THAT PULLEY CAN NOW BE ADJUSTED UP BY TURNING IT COUNTER CLOCKWISE.  BRING IT UP ABOUT 1/4 INCH AND RE-INSTALL THE PULLEY. THIS SHOULD FIX YOUR PROBLEM.

Leisa      2013-06-28

Hi Which bench do you need to go with the FT2, Kind regards Leisa  ANSWER:  IF YOU WANT TO HOOK THE WEIGHT STACKS UP TO THE LEG EXTENSION, YOU NEED OUR SCS BENCH.  OTHERWISE ANY BENCH WILL WORK.

Leisa      2013-06-28

Hi I got my ft2 functional trainer and scs bench and on the bench it has two holes where a pulley would attach bou no pulley in box, assembly book also shows no pulley, is this the correct bench that you show with this machine. Also one of the slider keeps try to lock out at every level when smith bar is attached. One more thing the top weight plate does it matter which way it goes, hole facing inwards or backwards. Kind regards Leisa  ANSWER:  SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED THE FT2 LEG EXT. CONVERSION KIT. IT IS AN OPTION FOR THE FT2.  IF THE SMITH BAR IS NOT LATCHING AT THE SAME POSITION ON BOTH SIDES, YOU MOST LIKELY NEED TO LEVEL THE GYM.  PUT A LEVEL ON THE BASE FRAME AND RAISE THE CORNER OF THE GYM WHERE NEEDED.

Nick      2015-11-30

Hello,Im considering purchasing the M2-or M3. My ceiling sits at 81.5 inches. Will there be enough room. Thanks ANSWER: NO PROBLEM.

mike      2013-06-13

I own an inspire M4 and have a problem with one of the floating pulleys (number 5) continually spinning around and getting the cables tangled. Any suggestions??  ANSWER:  THE CABLE ON THE ADJUSTABLE HIGH/LOW PULLEY NEEDS TO BE RE-ROUTED.  LOOK AT THE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS AND NOTICE THE DIRECTION OF THE CABLE AROUND PULLEY #4 IN STEP 38. AS THE CABLE IS ROUTED FROM PULLEY#3 TO PULLEY #4, IT MUST TRAVEL UP THE BACKSIDE OF THE PULLEY AND DOWN THE FRONT SIDE.  IF IT IS ROUTED UP THE FRONT AND DOWN THE BACK, THE FLOATING PULLEY WILL HAVE A TENDENCY TO SPIN AND WIND UP THE CABLE.

frankllin sheps      2013-06-06

if I buy the product in canada what kind of warranty do i get in home vs send in and is it life time in canada as well can i deal with any of your dealers franklin  ANSWER:  LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY IN ALL OF NORTH AMERICA.

Ben      2013-06-06

Where is the serial number located on the ft2, I'm trying to take care of the warrany registration. Thank you in advance.  ANSWER:  BACKSIDE OF THE TOP BEAM.

Jonathan      2013-06-06

I just got an FT1 and put it together with the extra weight stack (50 lbs extra both sides). The problem I am having now is I seem to have about five 10-lbs plates worth of extra cable hanging from the machine. (The little black ball is not snug against where it comes out to the handles. I adjusted the pulley above the weight stack, but it's not enough tension adjustment to pull in the extra cable. Please advise how I can fix it. Thanks.  ANSWER:  YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE WEIGHT STACK RISERS.  THEY ARE NECESSARY WHEN INSTALLING THE REGULAR STACKS, BUT MUST BE REMOVED BEFORE ADDING THE HEAVY STACK UPGRADES.

Rich      2013-06-06

Own FT1 system, moving to a new house, the room I have targeted for the system is only 79" Tall. Can system be safely used without installation of the chin-up bar?  ANSWER:  YES.

Leisa      2013-06-06

Hi Just wondering is there no FT2 functional trainers in Australia and is the next delivery due end of June early July, Kind regards Leisa  ANSWER: YES.

Marc      2013-05-23

Looking for the inner width between the two uprights on the FT-1.Obviously it's not the entire 54" that are listed as the machines spec sheet dimensions.  ANSWER: THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE HIGH/LOW PULLEY HINGES IS 45".

Ron Larson      2013-06-06

What is the actual resistance being applied when, for example, you do an inward bench press? Is it the actual number on the weight stack or something different. Same question applies to the other bars and configurations. There are so many pulleys I can't tell if there is some mechanical advantage (ie: a 2 pulley system often gives you a mechanical advantage of 2, so if you had the stack at 80 lbs the real resistance on the exercise would be 80/2=40 lbs).  ANSWER:  WE ACTUALLY ENGINEERED THE BENCH PRESS HANDLES TO PUT THE USER AT A MECHANICAL DISADVANTAGE.  THE RATIO IS 1.3:1, SO IF YOU PIN 100LBS OF RESISTANCE, YOU ARE ACTUALLY BENCHING 130LBS.  THIS IS A NIFTY WAY TO PROVIDE THE USER WITH A GREATER MAXIMUM RESISTANCE WITHOUT INCREASING THE WEIGHT STACK.  THE OTHER RATIOS ARE AS FOLLOWS:  HIGH PULLEY 1:1, MID AND LOW PULLEYS ARE BOTH HALF RESISTANCE (.5:1)

Jenna      2013-05-23

I have a PT1 weight machine and was wondering what I should use to lube the weight stack.  ANSWER:  WE RECOMMEND SOMTHING CLEAR, WITH A THICK VISCOSITY, LIKE CLEAR LITHIUM GREASE.  THE PRODUCT WE USE IS CALLED SUPER LUBE.

Ano      2013-05-23

Loving my new SCS and bench. Wondering about lower back exercises. One of my faves at the gym used to be back hyperextensions. Any way to do that with my current setup, and/or any recommendations on lower back exercises?  ANSWER:  STIFF LEGGED DEADLIFTS IS A GREAT WAY TO WORK THE LOWER BACK.  TRY THEM USING THE SMITH BAR.

Harold      2013-05-23

My FT2 was just installed. How do I use the Smith Bar? The easy part is unhooking the cables and attaching them to the Smith system, however, how do I rotate it to engage and move the carriage to the desired height, do my set, and engage the carriage to move it out of the way? I have the Exercise Manual, but it does not explain the functionality. Can you send me the instructions for using the Smith Bar on the FT2? Thanks, Harold   ANSWER:  THIS YOUTUBE VIDEO SHOULD HELP YOU. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iozweLnvS80

john      2013-05-23

Looked at the FT-2 at local retailer, quite impressed. I'd like to know if there is a way to get a traditional lat pulldown bar attached to the two pulleys at the top. I understand there is a straight bar that attaches to the side pulleys, but what about a center attached bar or method of attaching an angled center attached bar?  ANSWER: THE TWO HIGH PULLEYS ON THE FT-2 SWIVEL, SO USE ONE OF THE SPRING CLIPS FROM YOUR LOW ROW PULLEY AND CLIP BOTH HIGH PULLEYS TOGETHER.  THEN ATTACH ANY LAT BAR YOU LIKE TO THAT SPRING CLIP.

Pam      2013-05-23

On the FT2 how much does the bar add to the weight on the smith portion of the machine and does each weight stack offer half resistance, i.e. setting at 40 on each side is 40 lbs?  ANSWER:  RED BAR ADDS 20LBS.  THE RATIO FOR EACH WEIGHT STACK IS HALF.  HOWEVER, THE FT-2 HAS A WEIGHT MULTIPLIER FEATURE THAT TAKES EACH STACK TO FULL RESISTANCE.  SEE EXPLANATION HERE:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpSKsrxSmIc

Mike      2013-05-23

Is it possible to purchase the 50lb weight stack add on option once the FT1 has been purchased and assembled?  ANSWER: SURE.  YOU MUST REMOVE BOTH STACKS HOWEVER BECAUSE THE WEIGHT STACK RISERS NEED TO BE REMOVED.

Chad      2013-05-23

Where can I locate the various pulley ratios for the M3 home gym? I would like to know when calculating my resistance, but the manual doesn\'t provide this information. Searching for keyword \"ratio\" yields no results on the inspire blog site search space.  ANSWER:  BENCH PRESS HANDLES ARE 1.3:1.  HIGH PULLEY IS 1:1.  MID AND LOW PULLEYS ARE .5:1.

Dave      2013-03-07

I recently purchased the FT1 and it's great! How should the weight stack be labeled on it? Should the 1 start at the very top on the smaller weight or the one under it, which is wider?  ANSWER:  THE #1 STICKER SHOULD GO ON THE CAP WEIGHT.  THE LAST 10LB. WEIGHT PLATE WILL THEN CARRY THE #21 STICKER.

franklin sheps      2013-01-28

I am confused the m4 shows 2 shrouds and 2 wt stacks and yet in the manual it says that only the m5 has 2 wt stacks also how much clearance is required above the equipment itself and what clearance is recommended to the sides last does the bench move off to both sides ?? thanks franklin    ANSWER:  THE M4 DOES HAVE TWO SHROUDS, BUT ONLY ONE WEIGHT STACK.  THE SHROUD ON THE RIGHT (WHEN LOOKING AT IT) HOUSES THE ADJUSTABLE HIGH/LOW PULLEY.  HEIGHT REQUIREMENT FOR THE M4 IS 7'.  FOR ADEQUATE CLEARANCE FOR THE SWINGING BENCH YOU NEED 8' X 8' OF FLOOR SPACE.  THE BENCH DOES SWING TO EITHER SIDE.

Barb      2013-01-25

I have an Inspire M2 and was wondering what the weight resistance is when you just use the pulleys when doing a leg curl without adding the weights? Thanks    ANSWER:  THE CAP WEIGHT PLUS SELECTOR STEM WEIGHS ROUGHLY 10LBS.  THE LEG EXTENSION ARM ADDS ANOTHER TWO LBS, SO YOUR TOTAL WEIGHT WOULD BE ROUGHLY 12LBS.

Joe      2013-01-20

I am buying a new house. Is there an easy way to move my inspire m4?   ANSWER:  THE EASIEST THING TO DO IS LEAVE THE M4 WITH THE HOUSE AND BUY A NEW ONE!

ACTUALLY, THE M4 REQUIRES QUITE A BIT OF DISSEMBLY TO FIT IT THROUGH A STANDARD DOORWAY.  PLEASE CONTACT THE DEALER YOU PURCHASED YOUR GYM FROM.  THEY WILL OFFER RELOCATION SERVICE.

Derek      2013-01-20

Just waiting for my scs smith machine to arrive. Is there away to do a seated row with double d handle on this machine. I don't see any place for feet placement. It's a favourite of mine.  ANSWER:  YES...AS LONG AS YOU PURCHASED THE SCS BENCH.  THE LEG HOLD DOWN ON THE FRONT OF THE BENCH CAN BE REMOVED AND ATTACHED TO THE FRAME OF THE SCS BETWEEN THE TWO LOW PULLEYS.  THIS GIVES YOU SOMEWHERE TO BRACE YOUR HEELS.

Shane      2013-01-20

Does the ft1 have the 1:2 resistance per weight stack?  ANSWER:  YES, EACH WEIGHT STACK OFFERS HALF RESISTANCE.

Peter      2013-01-20

Can you reverse the assembly of an M4, i.e. put the weight stack on the "right"/other side?   ANSWER:  NO, THE CONFIGURATION OF THE GYM CAN NOT BE CHANGED.

Kirk      2013-01-20

I'm looking at buying the FT2 machine, but cannot find any dimensions / specifications anywhere, can you please let me know what these are for this machine    ANSWER:  W:60.9"  D:57.9".   If you include the bench, the depth is 88.9"  Height is adjustable, from 83" to 88"

Tim      2012-12-27

How much floor space is needed for the M4 with leg press? Will a 10'X8' room be big enough?

ANSWER: NO PROBLEM

George Calandrino      2012-12-27

Hello all, I recently bought an M3. The weight stack is made up of 10lb plates. On certain excercises, I would like to increase the weight only by 5lbs. How do I do that and is there any accessory or 5lb plates that will allow me to do that?

ANSWER: ON OUR HOME PAGE CLICK ON PRODUCTS.  UNDER OPTIONS YOU WILL FIND OUR 5LB. ADD-ON WEIGHT.  $30.00

Maria      2012-12-27

I just got an FT1 installed. They took all material out. Where can I find the serial number? Also, I can not get the 5 lb extra weight on one side, it is too tight. How do I adjust this? Thank you, we like it a lot so far!

ANSWER: LOCATION OF YOUR SERIAL NUMBER DEPENDS ON THE AGE OF THE UNIT.  IF YOUR UNIT IS FROM OUR LATEST RUN, THE SERIAL NUMBER IS ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE PULL-UP BAR FRAME.  ALL PREVIOUS MODELS HAVE THE SERIAL NUMBER ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE RIGHT UPRIGHT.

TO GET THE 5LB. ADD-ON WEIGHT TO FIT, BEGIN BY REMOVING THE PULLEY DIRECTLY ABOVE THE WEIGHT STACK.  ROTATE THE "U" BRACKET THAT IS THREADED INTO THE CAP WEIGHT COUNTER CLOCKWISE.  THIS WILL RAISE IT A BIT.  TEST TO SEE IF ADD-ON WEIGHT NOW FITS.  IF NOT, ROTATE A BIT MORE AND RE-TEST.  ONCE IT FITS, REPLACE THE PULLEY.

Tony      2012-12-27

Does the Leg Extension-SCS accessory fit on to FT1 Bench?  ANSWER;  IT DOES, BUT IT WORKS BETTER ON THE SCS BENCH BECAUSE THE GAP BETWEEN THE SEAT AND THE KNEE ROLLER PADS IS SMALLER ON THE SCS BENCH.

Rob      2012-12-27

When doing bench pressing etc. with the SCS SMITH CAGE SYSTEM, how much does the bar (red) weigh itself ie. with no added weights  ANSWER: 25LBS.

Robert      2012-12-27

Is the FT-2 shipping yet?  ANSWER: YES!!!

Alan      2015-11-30

I am considering purchasing a used Inspire M2 that is 6 yrs old. The weight stack is 160lbs. Are the plates to add 50 more lbs still available for this model, and what is the cost? The design seems to be the same.  ANSWER:  THE HEAVY STACK OPTION IS AVAILABLE FOR THE M2.  MSRP IS $129.95.  THIS OPTION SHOULD BE AVAILABLE FROM YOUR LOCAL INSPIRE FITNESS RETAILER.  ENTER YOUR ZIP CODE INTO OUR DEALER LOCATOR AND THE CLOSEST RETAILER WILL APPEAR.

Craig      2012-12-21

I bought the STS system and your Site states 2 150lb stacks, however when I use my self as a counter weight (weighing ~167lbs) I have the pins in the 14th plate of each stack before I don't sink to the floor, putting the plates closer to 5.7lbs and not 10lbs. Does that make any sense? Any idea why I would move 28 plates? Any help would be great.  ANSWER:  EACH SIDE OF THE SCS IS HALF RESISTANCE.  ALL FUNCTIONAL TRAINERS ON THE MARKET OFFER THIS RATIO.  CUTTING THE RESISTANCE IN HALF EFFECTIVLEY DOUBLES THE CABLE TRAVEL AVAILABLE.  SO, WITH THAT BEING SAID, PINNING 14 PLATES ON EACH SIDE WOULD GIVE YOU 150LBS OF RESISTANCE.(adding 10lbs. for the two cap weights)

David      2012-11-21

Jeff, Thank you. What are the dimensions of the opening in the SCS bench?  ANSWER: 1.5" X 1.5"

David      2012-11-16

Jeff, I am am equally excited by the new FT-2. Two quick questions. First, will the leg attachment work with existing SCS bench or is the bench being redesigned. Secondly, will it work with a different manufacturer (Hoist HF-4165) bench. From what I can see on the youtube video it is a change in the attachment. Thanks  ANSWER:  YES, THE LEG EXTENSION/CURL ATTACHMENT WILL WORK WITH BOTH THE FT-2 BENCH AND SCS BENCH.  NOT SURE IF IT WILL WORK WITH ANOTHER MANUFACTURER'S BENCH. IT DEPENDS UPON WHERE THE SPRING LOADED PIN IS POSITIONED.

Robert      2012-11-09

I have to admit the $3995 price w/o a bench seems pretty steep in comparison to the older FT-1. I understand the addition of the Smith bar, but really? What is the standard and additional weight stacks? I saw a 500lb squat demonstration online. Is this accurate? What will be the true weight after all said and done? Not saying I am not still interested, just really have to see the full benefit.  ANSWER:  THE FT-2 HAS A WEIGHT MULTIPLIER FEATURE THAT INCREASES TOP RESISTANCE TO NEARLY 500LBS.

Jon      2015-11-30

Hey there, heading in to the local store to order a scs soon, but before I do I was wondering how long ago this machine was released . Also, are there upgrades planned that will only be available on the latest version or hopefully retro fitted to the existing units. Thanks. System looks awesome but when spending that kinda coin I want the latest and greatest .  ANSWER:  THERE ARE NO CHANGES SLATED FOR THE SCS AT THIS TIME.  IT REMAINS THE KING OF FREE WEIGHT SYSTEMS ON THE MARKET TODAY.  I DO WANT TO MENTION THAT WE WILL BEGIN SHIPPING OUR NEW FT-2 SYSTEM NEXT MONTH.  THE FT-2 IS A SMITH/FUNTIONAL TRAINER COMBO, SIMILAR TO THE SCS, HOWEVER, THE SMITH BAR TIES DIRECTLY INTO THE WEIGHT STACKS.  FREE WEIGHT PLATES ARE NOT NEEDED.  IF YOU ARE A DIE HARD FREE WEIGHT PERSON, THE SCS IS THE ANSWER. IF NOT, YOU MAY WANT TO TEST THE NEW FT-2 BEFORE YOU DECIDE.  CONTACT YOUR LOCAL INSPIRE RETAILER AND INQUIRE ABOUT THE FT-2.  A MAJORITY OF SHOWROOMS SHOULD HAVE THEM IN STOCK BY THE END OF DECEMBER.

Robert      2012-11-02

Thank you. It looks like a new bench is being released as well. Will this be part of the $3995.00 price? If not what is MSRP? Your competitors need to go back to work.  ANSWER: $3995.00 DOES NOT INCLUDE THE BENCH.  MSRP ON THE BENCH IS $399.00.  WE APPRECIATE YOUR POSITIVE COMMENTS.  PLEASE LET US HEAR FROM YOU AFTER YOU HAVE HAD A CHANCE TO TEST IT.

Robert      2012-11-02

Just saw the video clip on the new FT2. When are the specs going to be available? Price? Footprint, etc.? More importantly when can I get mine? I have been putting off buying a functional trainer until now. This product fits what I would have designed and explained to Inspire a couple of years ago. Very impressed!  ANSWER: ROBERT, THANK YOU FOR THE COMPLIMENT!  WE WILL RECEIVE THE FIRST CONTAINER OF FT-2'S AROUND DECEMBER 1ST.  AFTER WE BUILD AND VERIFY TWO UNITS WE WILL BEGIN SHIPPING THEM TO OUR DEALERS THROUGHOUT THE US AND CANADA.  DEPENDING UPON YOUR LOCATION, YOU CAN EXPECT TO VISIT A SHOWROOM AND TEST THIS EXCITING NEW PRODUCT BY MID-DECEMBER.  MSRP IS $3995.00.  DIMENSIONS ARE 5' WIDE X 4' DEEP.  HEIGHT IS ADJUSTABLE. MINIMUM HEIGHT IS 83", MAXIMUM HEIGHT IS 88".   PLEASE BLOG BACK AND LET US KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF IT.

Ed      2012-10-24

I am trying to choose between the M3 and M4. Are there any comaprison charts or lists of features that differ? ANSWER:  FUNCTIONALLY BOTH MACHINES OFFER A COMPLETE RANGE OF EXERCISES.  THE DIFFERENCE STEMS FROM THE M4'S ISOLATERAL DESIGN.  EVERY EXERCISE ON THE M4 FORCES EACH SIDE OF YOUR BODY TO LIFT 50% OF THE WEIGHT.  THIS HELPS BUILD BALANCE AND SYMMETRY.  FOR A TRUE APPRECIATION , WE SUGGEST VISITING YOUR CLOSEST INSPIRE FITNESS RETAILER AND ALLOWING A TRAINED FITNESS CONSULTANT SHOW YOU IN PERSON.  WE HAVE A DEALER LOCATOR ON OUR HOME PAGE.

Bruce      2012-10-24

Hello Inspire Fitness Are you going to add an M5 option to your fitness tracker and when? Thank you.  ANSWER:  HI BRUCE, THANKS FOR YOUR QUESTION.  YES, WE ARE WORKING ON THIS PRESENTLY.  WE EXPECT M5 WORKOUTS TO BE UPLOADED BY DECEMBER 1ST.

Peter      2012-10-24

I have an M4 and love it!! Will the FT-1 Lat bar work with the M4? Thanks!  ANSWER: YES, IT WORKS QUITE WELL.

Ronald      2012-09-26

Just bought the PT1 POWER TRAINER & was wondering if i could use a lat pulldown attachment (or any other cable attachments) on one of the pulley? or am i confine to just using the D-handles that came with it?  ANSWER: YES YOU CAN ADD A TRADITIONAL LAT BAR TO ONE SIDE OF THE PT-1, HOWEVER, THIS WILL ONLY PROVIDE 80LBS OF RESISTANCE DUE TO THE .5 RATIO.  I SUGGEST YOU CALL US AND PURCHASE THE FT-1 LAT BAR FOR $49.95.  THIS ATTACHEMENT HAS TWO EYE-HOLES AT EACH END ALLOWING YOU TO HOOK UP TO BOTH HIGH PULLEYS AND GET THE FULL 160 POUNDS OF RESISTANCE.

sid      2012-10-24

on the FT1 funtional trainer, how much does each plate weigh, and how do i calculate how much weight i am lifting?  ANSWER:  EACH SIDE OF THE FT-1 PROVIDES 1/2 RESISTANCE, SO EACH 10LB WEIGHT PLATE PROVIDES 5LBS OF RESISTANCE.

tom      2012-09-11

Craig Seguin      2012-09-06

Hi, I just purchased the Inspire SCS2 smith cage setup and was wonder what the weight of the smith bar is...i'm guessing 25 lbs, but just wanted to make sure i'm calculating my total weight properly. Thanks, loving this piece of equipment. Hi Craig, I’m glad you are enjoying your SCS System! You are correct the smith bar weighs approximately 25lbs. I have an FT1 w/ a bench. I wanted to know if there were any recommended mats that could be used on carpet under the bench, that wouldn't buckle or rip, etc.  Hi Dan,  We don't make any mats but you can check with your local retailer and they will have a few different types.  The best one I've seen was a 4X6 1/2" rubber mat I would recommend 2.

Tom      2012-09-06

Just got the FT 1. Your workouts section looks like it is mostly for guys. My wife wanted to know if there were recommended workouts for woman. She is 50 and not looking to bulk up. Thanks  Hi Tom,  All of our workouts are for the family.  Its very hard to bulk up and the way you train on an FT1 is more for toning.  We are always working on new workouts so keep your eyes on our site and you should see some new ones soon.

Hi, I am wondering what the weight capacity is for the smith bar itself on the SCS and also what the weight capacity is for the safety bars? Also, what is the warranty for the SCS and for the cables on the SCS? Thank you  Hi Rob,  The weight capacity on the SCS is 1000lbs and the warranty in a home setting is lifetime on everything.  If you are putting this in a light commercial setting like a fire station, school, or personal training studio the warranty is 10 years on everything.

Rob      2012-09-05

Hi, I am wondering what the weight capacity is for the smith bar itself on the SCS and also what the weight capacity is for the safety bars? WEIGHT CAPACITY.  FOR HOME USE ALL PARTS (CABLES INCLUDED) RECEIVE A LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY.

We just had our M3 delivered and set up so I'm looking forward to working out on it. I must say I'm a little intimidated and I'm wanting as much information as possible. I noticed on an earlier blog that there was a dvd mentioned but our store rep said that he wasn't aware of one. I'd appreciate getting a copy of a cd if possible. ANSWER: HI CINDY.  YOU CAN SEE VIDEO CLIPS OF ALL EXERCISES BEING PERFORMED ON OUR WEB SITE.  ON OUR HOME PAGE YOU WILL SEE THE WORD "WORKOUTS" JUST BELOW THE BLOG BUTTON.  CLICK ON THAT.  A LIST OF OUR MACHINES WILL APPEAR.  CLICK ON M3 AND FOLLOW THE PROMPTS INTO THE DAILY WORKOUTS AREA.  CLICK ON EACH DAY OF THE WEEK AND A DROP DOWN MENU OF EXERCISES WILL APPEAR.  CLICK ON EACH EXERCISE AND A VIDEO CLIP OPENS WITH A DEMO OF THE EXERCISE.  IT IS MUCH EASIER FOR US TO UPDATE OUR WEB SITE WITH NEW TRAINING CLIPS AS OPPOSED TO A DVD.

Keith      2012-05-19

Hello again! OK I'm about 3 months into M4 ownership! However, how do I use the ab bar gizmo I just added?  ANSWER:  HI KEITH.  REMOVE THE SPRING CLIP FROM THE AB BAR. REMOVE THE TWO D HANDLES FROM YOUR M4 HIGH PULLEYS AND SPREAD BOTH LAT ARMS TO POSITION 3. ATTACH EACH END OF THE AB BAR STRAPS TO EACH OF THE TWO HIGH PULLEYS. YOU ARE READY TO GO!

Odis      2012-05-19

I have a few questions regarding the M4. First, there seems to be an area for a second weight stack. Is that indeed an area for a second stack? Second, if it is then does it give you more weight to lift per excercise? ie. Can you now have the ability to press 400 pounds? Or does it just let two people use the machine at one time? Lastly, I have heard that you can do actual squats using this machine but I cant find a video or picture detailing how this is done. Any ideas? Thanks   ANSWER:  THE SECOND SHROUD ON THE M4 IS OFTEN MISTAKEN FOR A SECOND WEIGHT STACK.  THIS IS JUST THE HOUSING FOR THE DUAL ADJUSTABLE PULLEYS.  REGARDING SQUATS; TRADITIONAL SQUATS CAN NOT BE DONE ON THE M4.  THE PRESSARM PIVOT POINT IS TOO HIGH.  I RECOMMEND LUNGES AS AN ALTERNATIVE.  A VIDEO CLIP OF HOW TO BEST PERFORM THIS EXERCISE CAN BE SEEN IN THE WORKOUTS AREA OF THIS SITE.

Ingrid      2012-04-16

I just bought the body lift gym. So far so good. I have questions, Some of the exercises are performed off the body lift, therefore no body weight. What are the estimated weights in this case? Also there was no exercise chart with it. Should there have been one in the box? Lastly, what are th 50-60 different exercises that one is supposed to be able to perform on this machine?  ANSWER:  THE FRONT PORTION OF THE BL1 WEIGHS 80LBS.  SO IF YOU PREFORM AN EXERCISE WHILE NOT ON THE BL1 THE WEIGHT YOU LIFT WILL BE A PERCENTAGE OF THIS 80LBS.  FOR EXAMPLE: POSITION 1 IS 10% OF THIS WEIGHT, SO YOU WOULD BE LIFTING 8LBS.  THE BL1 DOES COME WITH A WALL CHART.  IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ONE, PLEASE EMAIL OUR SERVICE MANAGER AT mike@inspirefitness.net HE WILL SEND YOU ONE.  THE BEST WAY TO VIEW ALL THE BL1 EXERCISES IS TO GO TO OUR WEB SITE.  ON OUR HOME PAGE YOU WILL SEE A TAB AT THE TOP THAT READS "WORKOUTS"  CLICK ON THAT.  A WINDOW TO THE LEFT OPENS WITH ALL OF OUR GYMS.  CHOOSE THE BL1.  NEXT CHOOSE YOUR FITNESS LEVEL: BEGINNER, IMTERMEDIATE OR ADVANCED.  FOLLOW THE PROMPTS TO THE WORKOUTS AREA.  CLICK ON EACH DAY OF THE WEEK TO SEE A DROP DOWN LIST OF EXERCISES FOR EACH DAY.  CLICK ON EACH EXERCISE TO SEE A VIDEO CLIP OF EACH BEING PERFORMED.

Marty      2012-04-11

For the SCS full cage system, how much space is recommended to have in front of and on the sides of the cage system? Hi Marty, Thank you for your interest in our Smith Cage System! We recommend about an 8 X 8 area for user space.

Mike      2012-01-30

Hello, can the M4 be set up with the leg press on either side? Thanks, Mike    ANSWER:  NO, THE M4 REQUIRES THAT THE LEG PRESS ATTACHES TO THE RIGHT SIDE (WEIGHT STACK SIDE) OF THE GYM.

rory      2012-01-30

i wasthinking of buying a bl1 do you have the specs i am most interested in the height requierment for my basement  ANSWER: THE ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM HEIGHT REQUIRED IS 88.5".  KEEP IN MIND THAT HOW MUCH HEIGHT YOU ACTUALLY NEED DEPENDS UPON THE LENGTH OF YOUR ARMS.  I SUGGEST YOU VISIT YOUR LOCAL INSPIRE FITNESS DEALER AND TEST THE UNIT.  HAVE THE SALESMAN MEASURE THE HEIGHT AS YOU TEST THE VARIOUS EXERCISES.

Keith      2012-01-11

Greetings from Edmonton Would you plese have a tech email me personally. I just orderd the M4 on Sat from Fittness Depot and have several questions First one...My room is 14 x 10ft, Can I use the M4 with plenty of room to get around the machine? Also, what if I call back and add the leg press? Plese get in touch thanks.

Hi Keith,

Thank you for purchasing an M4 Multi-Gym you will love it!!  The user space is around 8’ x 8’ so you will have more than enough space even if you add the leg press.  I hope this helps and if you need anything else please let us know.

Fred      2012-01-09

Where can I find Canadian dealers? I am from Alberta.

Hi Fred,

In your area Fitness Depot is our local Dealer.  You can also go to our find a dealer area and put in your postal code to find the closest store.

Randy      2012-01-03

Could you please clarify the weight stack on the M4? There are different answers posted that the stack is either 210 or 215. There are twenty 10lb weight plates for 200 pounds plus a smaller plate when no pin is attached. Is that 10 lbs as well? If there is no pin inserted, how much would one be bench pressing? Hi Randy, The M4 has a 200lbs weight stack, but when you add the top weight, selector stem, weight stack pin and pulley it adds about 15lbs. The big question though is the pull point our chest press station adds about 20% to the resistance, so if you pin 100lbs of weight your actually getting about 120lbs of resistance. I hope this helps and if you need anything else please let us know.

Mel Miller      2011-11-28

Just got our BL1. The workouts pages are good but none are listed for the BL1. Will you post those or is M2 a comparable machine?  MEL - WORKOUTS FOR THE BL1 WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON.  TARGET DATE IS DECEMBER 15TH.

Charles      2011-11-28

How do I do preacher curls on an M3?  Answer: CHARLES, THANKS FOR YOUR EMAIL.  I NOTICED THAT OUR VIDEO CLIP OF THAT EXERCISE IS NOT CURRENTLY LINKED IN THE WORKOUTS AREA OF OUR SITE.  I WILL HAVE IT LINKED BACK UP SOON SO YOU CAN VIEW IT.  IN THE MEAN TIME I WILL DESCRIBE:  HOOK THE EZ CURL BAR TO THE LOW PULLEY.  FACING THE MACHINE, GRAB THE EZ CURL BAR WITH AN UNDERHAND GRIP AND TAKE A STEP BACKWARDS.  SQUAT DOWN AND PLACE YOUR ELBOWS ON YOUR KNEES.  CURL THE WEIGHT TO YOUR FACE.  LET US KNOW HOW YOU MAKE OUT!

Mark Spencer      2015-11-30

I'm interested in the Bl1 Body Lift. I'd love to find out all the exercises that can be done with it. I'm trying to decide if it will be sufficient for me or if I want to look at a model with more options. Thanks  Hi Mark the Body Lift will do approx. 60 different exercises.  We will have a few workouts up on our website soon.

Skip      2011-09-20

What is the actual weight resistance on the M4 multi gym if you did the full stack on the bench press? It would be approx. 260lbs.

Lawrence      2011-08-29

Have heard new versions coming out for M3 and M4. Any idea when they might be available? Any list of new features - enhancements for both units? Hi Lawrence thank you for your interest in our product line. The M4 isn't changing and the M3 has one small change the Leg Ext Arm now has a new handle. I hope this helps please let me know if you need anything else. Jeff Laborde.

Thierry      2011-08-18

I've had the M3 for about a month now and LOVE it! Very high quality build and a smooth motion results in a great workout everytime! I like the workout software on this site that is specific to the M3... but I have two questions. 1) Are the order of exercises presented in the recommended sequence (small muscle groups to large)?2) Is there a version of the workout software that can also LOG-TRACK the weight (pin settings?) and reps? Hi Thierry, The workouts are done all different ways these are examples to help you get started. My recommendation is change up your workout every few month for muscle confusion it will help with results. In about 2 to 3 weeks we will have a new website that has a new feature call Fitness Tracker that allows you to track your weight and reps. Keep watching for the update!

Jeff Drock      2011-06-14

Excellent products. We at the Home Fitness Professionals Association give Inspire a big thumbs up!

Want to buy M4. How is the review?

Wayne Sigurdson      2011-03-25

Just purchased a FT1. Impressive functional trainer. I am getting a little noise when the weights are pulled up.... I used a bit of the lubricant. Should I put some on each weight plate? Hi Wayne, If you lubricate the guide rods and as it breaks in that will help.

Chris      2011-02-22

Love my new Inspire FT1. Thanks!!

Jill      2015-02-06

Hi to I have an M2 which I bought several years ago. However, one of the cables has come loose and I don't know how to reattach it? Do you have a diagram that would show me how the cables run from one pulley to the next? I can't seem to find anyone local who might help me out. The store where I bought it doesn't carry inspire products anymore.Jill....sitting on the floor trying to picture the placement of cables!! Hi Jill, I you look at the bottom of our website you will see a sections that says customer service under that area we have all of the owner

Brad      2015-11-30

The smith cage system looks ALMOST complete. It seems to have a lot, but maybe with a few more things, it can have everything. If you use make the bench with leg curl and leg extension, and then make it able to attach and un-attach to the cables next to the weight stack, then, you'd have a pretty good, leg system right there. Then, the pull up bar, with the two individual handles, maybe put those in the BACK of the machine, and work your way to put a lat pulldown machine. Then, still on the back, make the center column for the cables an adjustable column from top to bottom, so you can also adjust it for cable rows. The seat for the row can be combined with the seat for the pulldown. And while you're on the back, maybe fit in a preacher curl mat somewhere, w- or w-o a cable attachement. Hi Brad, I

Evelyn      2011-01-14

Thanks Jeff. I dug a little deeper and found the workout.

Evelyn      2011-01-14

We bought the M3 last October. With moving and constructions, I did not start using it until this month. When I face the fixed bar, I noticed that it is off center just a little. I didn't want to mess with it if it didn't effect the machine. Also, I'm 5'6 and feel that with some of the routines (leg extensions) I could use additional back support. Are there anymore exercise routines that are not listed on the chart and could be printed up. The CD that came with the equipment isn't the best. It would be helpful to also have a woman doing the workout to see the difference in settings. Hi Evelyn, Thank you for the feedback and in future workouts we will try to include a woman. Please take a look at our workouts on the website tab I think this will help you. Jeff

lee frye      2010-11-26

WHAT IS THE WEIGHT OF EACH STACK? Hi Lee, The weight stacks for the M1,M2, FT1, and Smith System are 165lbs. The weight stacks for the M3 and M4 are 215lbs. Keep in mind all of the stacks that are 165lbs can be increased to 215lbs.

Robin      2010-10-13

What gets attached to the open square metal tube at the end of the bench with the screwthat tightens with a black knob? Also, what are the black and Pink-clear liquids for that were supplied with our equipment? We really like the set-up. ANSWER: THERE ARE TWO OPTIONAL ATTACHEMENTS AVAILABLE FOR YOUR BENCH. A PREACHER CURL ATTACHEMENT AND A LEG DEVELOPER ATTACHMENT. OUR WEB SITE WILL SOON SHOW THE BENCH AS A SEPARATE PRODUCT AND THE ATTACHMENTS WILL BE SHOWN. THE COLORED LIQUID YOU REFER TO IS TOUCH UP PAINT. THE CLEAR LIQUID IS LUBRICATION FOR YOUR GUIDE RODS. LUBRICATING YOUR GYM'S GUIDE RODS WILL MAKE IT SMOOTHER AND QUIETER.

Clifton Hughes      2010-10-12

Hi, we have the M2 multi gym with optional leg press to the side, and I would like to know if there is a chart or document anywhere that describes the different weights being lifted in relation to the different pulleys, some of the pullys seem obviously lighter than others, so I am fairly sure of the ratio, but it would be nice to have this documented somewhere, I did not see it in the book anywhere, and the dealer and assembler did not seem to know for sure.Thanks.Cliff ANSWER: CLIFF, WE GET THIS QUESTION A LOT. IN FACT, WE ARE CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF ADDING FREQUESTLY ASKED QUESTIONS TO OUR WEB SITE. THIS WILL DEFINITELY BE ONE OF THEM. YOUR HIGH PULLEY IS A TRUE 1:1 RATIO. YOUR MID AND LOWER PULLEYS ARE 0.5:1. WE DO THIS BECAUSE HALF RESISTANCE DOUBLES THE AMOUNT OF CABLE TRAVEL AVAILABLE...GIVING YOU THE RANGE NEEDED TO PERFORM FUNCTIONAL EXERCISES. IT ALSO ELIMINATES THE NEED FOR A 5LB. ADD-ON PLATE BECAUSE EACH 10LB WEIGHT PLATE PROVIDES 5LBS. OF RESISTANCE. THE BENCH PRESS HANDLES ON YOUR PRESS ARM OFFER A 1.3:1 RATIO. SO, PINNING 100LBS OF WEIGHT GIVES YOU 130LBS OF RESISTANCE. IT HAS BEEN ENGINEERED THIS WAY TO PROVIDE THE USER WITH MORE USABLE WEIGHT THAN THE PHYSICAL STACK ACTUALLY OFFERS. IN FACT, IF YOU UPGRADE YOUR 160LB STACK TO THE OPTION 210LB, YOUR MAXIMUM BENCH PRESS POUNDAGE WOULD BE 273LBS. (210LBS X 1.3) YOUR LEG PRESS HAS A 2:1 RATIO. THEREFORE, THE 210LB. WEIGHT STACK OFFERS 420LBS. OF RESISTANCE. THANK YOU!

Mike      2010-10-04

I have an M2 with 160 lbs stack. Can I purchase additional weights for the stack? Hi Mike, Yes you can add another 50lbs of weight.

JOSE ESTRELLA      2010-09-29

what is the price on ft-1......Hi Jose, The suggested retail price of the FT1 without the bench is $2495.00 the Direct Price without the bench is $2195. Please let me know if you would like more information.

Eric      2010-09-28

I just got my FT1 delivered last week and I love it! However, I see that on the website and workout book it has an adjustable pull-up bar handles. My unit has fixed handles. Is this new or are the adjustable handles new? Just wondering? Thanks. Hi Eric, You got the latest and greatest! We went to the fixed handles for commercial applications.

Lee Lebbin      2010-09-26

There are 21 number labels and 20 plates. Does label Hi Lee, The #1 label goes on the top weight.

John      2010-07-27

Hi there, ive ordered the M4 with Leg Press, should arrive this week. I will post some feedback once i have it, and its all set up. Regards John

John      2010-07-23

Hi there, Im in New Zealand and i notice all the M series gyms here go by the name of Paragon not Inspire, Why is this? Are they the same model, specifications etc? Also a question on the dual pulleys, can they rotate left and right a little bit? its a bit hard to tell from pictures. Thanks for your time. Regards John ANSWER: INSPIRE FITNESS HAS GIVE PARAGON THE RIGHTS TO SELL ITS PRODUCTS INTO AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND. THE PRODUCTS ARE IDENTTICAL, EXCEPT FOR THE LOGO. THE DUAL ADJUSTABLE PULLEYS ON THE M4 DO SWIVEL, ALLOWING THE USER TO PULL AT DIFFERENT ANGLES WITHOUT BINDING.

John      2010-07-19

Hi there, im considering getting the M4, a question i have is the length. I assume this is the measurement from the stack to the leg extension. With attached Leg Press i see it is 100 does this also include the movement of the leg extension and leg press or does this make it longer. I guess what im asking is what is theworking measurements of the M4. Thanks for your time. Kind Regards. ANSWER: TO BE COMFORTABLE, THE TRUE WORKING LENGTH OF THE M4 WITH LEG PRESS IS 9 FEET.

Kim      2010-07-07

Hello, On you m4 unit, you have a 210 stack. What is weight ur actually lifting on the different cables? It says the side unit is 4 to 1 ratio but what is the others? Thanks, Kim ANSWER: THE HIGH PULLEY AND PRESS ARM ARE A TRUE 1 TO 1 RATIO WHEN USING BOTH SIDES AT THE SAME TIME. IF YOU USE JUST ONE SIDE, THE RESISTANCE IS HALF, OR .5 TO 1. NOTE: WHEN USING THE PRESS ARM, IT IS IMPORTANT TO REALIZE THAT THE M4 PRESS ARM WEIGHS 30 LBS. YOU MUST ADD THAT AMOUNT TO THE AMOUNT OF WEIGHT YOU PIN FOR AN ACCURATE TOTAL.

Jason      2010-05-26

Hello Guys and Girls.... I am so excited about ordering a new function trainer from Inspire. The nice girl at on the phone sealed the deal for me as she eagerly lokked up random questions i had. That means so much in a enviroment that suggests sell it not service. The Question I have for Inspire is ..... What is the Ratio for the lifter on your machine? If i use the full 21lbs ...what am i lifting? Thanks, Jason ANSWER: HI JASON, THANK YOU FOR PURCHASING AN FT1! THE WEIGHT RATIOS ON THE PULLEYS ARE 50%, SO IF YOU PIN 210LBS ON BOTH WEIGHT STACKS AND PUSH YOU WILL GET 210LBS. IF YOU PUSH ONE STACK AT A TIME YOU WILL GET HALF OF THAT.

Dale      2010-04-29

Jeff,I am glad to see innovation and quality back in the home fitness industry. All the best to you and I look forward to seeing the Inspire designs of the future!

Ryan      2010-04-10

Was wondering about inspire coming out w- a hip sled? ANSWER: HI, RYAN. AT THE PRESENT TIME WE HAVE NO PLANS TO BUILD A HIP SLED. WE DO OFFER A LEG PRESS OPTION FOR OUR M SERIES GYMS. THIS LEG PRESS HAS A UNIQUE ISO-LATERAL DESIGN. THE PRESS PLATE IS SPLIT AND THEREFORE REQUIRES EACH LEG TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY. THIS RECRUITS MORE MUSCLES INTO THE MOVEMENT AND BUILDS THE STABILIZER MUSCLES IN YOUR LEGS. THANKS FOR YOUR QUESTION.

Sandy      2010-03-10

I have found a used M3 but would like to find out best way to disassemble, transport and re-assemble. Help?

Richard      2010-02-28

I just bought an Inspire M1. So far, I love it! One question though to If I have 50 lbs selected for bench press, it feels like twice that much. What is the actual weight being pressed? ANSWER: THE PRESS ARM ON YOUR M1 HAS A 1:3 TO 1 RATIO. THAT MEANS THAT IF YOU PIN 50 LBS. OF WEIGHT, YOU ARE ACTUALLY PRESSING 65 LBS. (50 X 1.3) ALSO KEEP IN MIND THAT THE CAP WEIGHT AND SELECTOR STEM TOGETHER WEIGH 10 LBS., SO YOU NEED TO ADD THAT WEIGHT TO YOUR TOTAL. IN FACT, WE RECOMMEND THAT WHEN YOU NUMBER YOUR WEIGHT STACK YOU PLACE THE NUMBER 1 STICKER ON THE CAP WEIGHT. YOUR LAST WEIGHT PLATE WOULD THEN BE NUMBER 16. THE WEIGHT STACK ON THE M1 IS A 160 LB. WEIGHT STACK. I HOPE THIS HELPS.

heather      2010-02-06

We recently purchased the FT1. Where can I find workouts for this model? ANSWER: THE FT-1 IS OUR LATEST GYM. WE EXPECT COMPLETE WORKOUTS FOR THIS UNIT TO BE ON OUR WEB SITE BY MARCH 15TH. VIDEO CLIPS OF THE EXERCISES THAT CAN BE PERFORMED ON THE FT-1 WILL BE AVAILABLE ON OUR WEB SITE NEXT WEEK. THANK YOU.

Eric Savage      2010-01-18

Where do I find the serial number on my M2 system?

ANTONIO LONO      2010-01-15

Hello

Ryan Shier      2009-12-08

I just purchased a SCS system w- every option but the smith bar and it is amazing!! This unit enables me to perform almost as many exercises as a 10,000sqft gym. If Inspire wanted to leap over Hoist as the top high end gym manufacturer they should really release a hip sled along with a few more strength training items, plate tree's, etc. Inspire's equipment makes Body-Solid and Bodycraft look and feel like a Weider or York Gym of years gone past! Hi Ryan, Thank your for the feedback! We are still adding to our freight-weight line so we will add that to our list.

Larry      2009-11-27

Will Lp-1 work on the M-4? Hi Larry, Yes it can, but it requires an additional cable. Please contact one of your local dealers and they can order it for you.

Ryan      2009-11-17

Was just wondering about the load rating of the gun rack in the cage system. Also is there the possibility of a hip-sled coming out in the near future as all high end manufacturers (Hoist, Bodycraft, etc) now have one. (If so I'll buy a cage system to ) ANSWER - THE GUN RACK ON THE SMITH CAGE SYSTEM HAS A 1000 LB. WEIGHT LIMIT. AT THIS TIME NO HIP-SLED IS PLANNED FOR PRODUCTION.

Deborah Nugent      2009-11-12

How do you disassemble an Inspire M3? We are trying to move it this weekend.

Jack H      2009-10-24

Does anyone know of an Excel type spreadsheet that has incorporated the workouts that are listed on the Inspire website? I'm familiar with the on-line exercises that are recommended for beginner, imtermediate and advanced routines but I'd like to use those suggested routines to manually track my prgress and weights from week to week on my M4. Hi Jack, You can currently print the workouts, but we don't have an Excel spreadheet yet we are working on it. I hope we will have something in the coming months.

Clint      2009-10-09

My wife and I just purchased the M3. Is there any 5lb adds that can be purchased. There are times when my wife or I really need something in between the ten pound weights. At health clubs they often have a 5lb'er that you can add to the stack. HI Clint,Yes you can use a Plate Mate which is a magnetic add on weight.

Jeff      2009-09-08

Will there be an instructional DVD for any of the gyms? If so, when will they be available? ANSWER: THE M2, M3 AND M4 ALL HAVE INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEOS AVAILABLE. IF YOU OWN AN INSPIRE GYM AND NEED A COPY, PLEASE CALL US AT 714-738-1729.

Gord      2009-08-10

I bought a M3 a couple of weeks ago, and my wife and I are really happy with it. It's making our goals of getting back into shape a reality. The exercise videos and workouts online are also a huge help.Thanks.G.

FRED HOAG - INSPIRE FITNESS TEAM      2009-08-03

HI ANDY - THE M3 HAS A NUMBER OF FEATURES NOT SEEN ON THE M2. FOR ONE, THE M3 HAS A BACK PAD TILT ALLOWING FOR BACK SUPPORT WHEN PERFORMING INCLINE CHEST PRESS AND SHOULDER PRESS EXERCISES. THE M3 OFFERS THE MORE POPULAR SEATED LEG CURL TO WORK HAMSTRINGS. NEXT IT OFFERS A COMMERCIAL STYLE ABDOMINAL CRUNCH STATION BUILT INTO THE HEAD PAD. ANOTHER DIFFERENCE IS A HEAVIER WEIGHT STACK. THE M2 HAS A 160LB. STACK WHILE THE M3 HAS A 210LB. WEIGHT STACK AS A STANDARD FEATURE. LASTLY, THE MID PULLEY ON THE M3 IS A WIDE GROOVE PULLEY, GIVING THE USER MORE FREEDOM TO PULL IN MULTIPLE DIRECTIONS...MAKING IT EASIER TO PERFORM SPORT SPECIFIC EXERCISES.

Shawn      2009-04-01

Hi! Everyone I got my Inspire M4 and I love it a lot. I discovered a way to do squats with the M4 cable columb. All you have to do is get a squat harness from bowflex and it works very well with the cable columb. The part number for it is 001-6385 discription to SQUAT HARNESS RE. they cost 38.93. I got the ideal of trying it on it after see a squat harness on friend of mines bowflex. You guys should order a harness and give it a try and you will be very impress! You should start making one has accesory!!CheersShawn

SHAWN      2009-03-29

Hi! I purshased M4 and so far I love it a lot. only a couple of issue. I noticed when using the cable columb the free floating pully cable keeps gettting twisted. Is there a way to fixe this issue? Also when using a curl bar on the columb the cable hangs an extra 6 is there a way to balance the sytem so it doesn't do this? Is there a way to do squats with this unit?ThanksShawn

FRED HOAG - INSPIRE TEAM      2009-03-22

Erik - Thanks for the question. There are two things to consider. First, when performing the bench press or shoulder press on the M4, it is necessary to add the weight of the press arm to your total stack weight for an accurate total. The press arm weighs 30lbs. Therefore, if you were to bench press the whole 210 lb. weight stack, you would actually be pressing 240 lbs. Second, keep in mind that the M4's iso-lateral press arm simulates dumbbells. Bench pressing the whole weight stack would be like pressing two 120 lb. dumbbells. As you know, this is much more difficult than benching a barbell with a weight of 240 lbs.

Erik      2009-03-16

Can you order an M4 with additional weight on the stack? Currently, I am looking for a home gym. Putting ego aside 210 lbs is plenty. However, I can see my bench press could quickly exceed 210 lbs, and I do not want to do sets of 15. Currently, I am doing three sets of 10 to 12 of 210 at the gym. I have cut my weights due to cronic shoulder pain I am experiencing after years of football. Fortunately, as I put more time in at the gym both the strength and range of motion have returned to the shoulder. Unfortunately, not enough to go back to freeweights.I was wondering if another forty pounds could be safely added to the stack? If not, do you plan to add partial plates (ie. 2.5, 5

FRED HOAG - INSPIRE TEAM      2009-02-17

MikeK - The leg press option for the M4 is configured to double the weight stack. This makes the 210 lb. weight stack a true 420 lbs. of resistance. There is no way to add more weight than that, however, there are a few things that can be done to make the 420 lb. stack seem heavier. First, adjust the backpad one hole closer to the press plates. This increased your range of motion and makes any weight harder to press. Consider going higher repetition with the leg press. Instead of the standard 10 to 12 repetitions per set, do 15 to 20 repetitions. You will need far less weight to achieve muscle fatigue. Another idea is to pre-exhaust your legs before performing the leg press exercise. I recommend doing a few sets of lunges using the dual adjustable pulleys. You can see this exercise performed in the workouts section of our web site. Lastly, consider pinning the leg press pedals together with the press plate rod and do your leg press exercises one leg at a time. 420 lbs. for one leg is a ton of weight! Good Luck.

MikeK      2009-02-12

Will there be an add-on stack to the M4? Currently leg pressing just about the stack and would like to add weight. What are the cables rated at, posible to buy generic plates and add...

Gustav,Thanks for your e-mail.Our web site may have exactly what you are looking for. On our home page you will notice the word workouts in the upper right hand corner. Click on workouts and then click on the M3. Choose your level of fitness (beginner, intermediate, expert). Choose workout 1. Next, accept the next two pages and you will find yourself in our weekly workouts area. Click on Monday and a list of exercises drop down. This is your workout for the day. Click on the first exercise and you will see a small video clip of how to perform the exercise, with instructions below. You can burn your workout to a DVD.I hope this helps.

Mike      2015-02-06

I just bought the M2. What a machine! I was just wondering if the workouts listed on your website are available to be downloaded as an adobe file so that they can be printed on paper rather than being downloaded to an MP3 or CD..........Thanks

Gustav      2009-01-18

I bought a M3 a few days ago. I was not an easy decision as the M3 is according to me not as price competitive in comparison to some other units in the market, but it had one huge advantage and that was size VS flexibility. I would however like to see a better layout on the exercises than just the exercise worksheet. You guys have a great product, but the boys of Bowflex are light-years ahead of you when it comes to their exercise charts, DVD?s and other material they make available.

Alberto      2009-01-13

I just bought a M2 and need the assembly-instruction manual. Is this available online or can you send me a PDF file? Thanks Alberto

Pat      2009-01-10

Just purchased and M3

Larry Stanford      2008-12-29

Hi,i just bought an M3 but don't have the assembly-instruction manual. Is this available online or can a pdf be sent to me? Thanks.Larry

Bob Beck      2008-12-18

My wife and I purchased your M4 new a few months ago. With our retirement we are using it regularly. We really enjoy the quality and variety of exercises offered by your machine. My question concerns the weight ratios for the various exercises. Do you offer a publication that explains the actual weight the various muscles are experiencing. Our dealer in Oklahoma City related he would send us the information but after several weeks he has yet to do it.Thanks

michael      2008-12-06

I bought a M4 about 6 months ago. Dr. told me not to lift free weights any more due to a herneated disk in my neck. I'm happy to say I feel great and have been seeing increases in strength and definition. Thanks for the great Gym

Joe Babika      2008-11-13

I just bought an M 4. I am looking forward to using it! Downloadable workouts should be made available on printable spread sheets. I cannot understand why this is not available on such a high class machine.

Gord      2008-11-01

Bought a 2nd hand M3 a few weeks ago. LOVE IT!I'm looking for a higher resolution .pdf of the exercise chart. (The one on the site for the M3 is not high enough to print 24x36.) I see the ones for the M1 and M2 are sufficient resolution, but not the one for the M3. Looks like you were working on this back in April for Jan, but I don't see anything. Any updates? The other request is if there is a way of adding a half plate, similar to other machines. Suggestions? Thanks.

Holly      2008-10-13

Trying to decide between the M3 and a gym membership??? Any opinions

FRED HOAG - INSPIRE TEAM      2008-10-13

STEVE - GREAT IDEA! BEING ABLE TO DOWNLOAD WORKOUTS TO A SPEADSHEET WOULD BE QUITE USEFUL. I HAVE CONTACTED OUR WEB DESIGNER AND INSTRUCTED HER TO ADD THIS FEATURE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.LOOK FOR IT SOON...AND THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR INPUT.

Steve Hosler      2008-10-07

How about adding an option to download the workouts to a spreadsheet or text file so we can build weekly-monthly charts?

rob      2015-11-30

Hi there

mike Jackson      2008-08-01

I moved and now I'm having trouble rigging up the pulley system. Anybody know of a diagram or something somewhere for setting up the inspire M1?

gene      2008-06-10

I was looking at the M4 with leg attachment. I was the guys that started your company were the guys that designed the Precor S3.55 gym. Is this correct? Hi Gene, No we didn't design the 3.55 gym but Precor bought Pacific Fitness about 10 years ago and we were a part of that. We did do a lot of the design work for the 3.21 (Del Mar), 3.45 (Catalina), and 3.25 (Malibu).

Al F.      2008-05-16

Hi, I just finished assembling my new M3. Awesome device. I do have one problem. The selector stem does not sit flush on the weights. What could be the problem? I reviewed all the pulleys and cable diagrams without help. Thanks in advance. HI Al, Please call me at the office and I will walk you through a few cable adjustments.

Marc      2008-05-12

I have a question about the weight ratio of the M3's press arm. Is it 1.3 to 1, or 1.2 to 1? On my exercise chart it says 1.2, but I read here on the blog, a reply to Fred Hoag 1-17-08, that it's 1.3. BTW I'm VERY happy with the M3. The only other weight lifting experience I have had is with a Bowflex type machince, the M3 blows it away. I am seeing twice the results in half the time!

Joe      2008-05-06

What is the Total weight of M2? I'm looking for Weight of unit, not the workout weight.

Jan      2008-04-28

When will you be able to download the workouts? You had answered this from another used back in February and thought 5 to 6 weeks.Do you know how much longer? I just brought my M3 this weekend. Thanks! Hi Jan, Sorry it has taken awhile to get back to you. We have been working on the downloads it is just taking a lot longer then expected. I hope to see something this month.

Unai      2008-04-24

Do you sell your products internationally? I am very interested in the M4. Looks great!!!

Bob M      2008-04-19

Thanks, Fred!

FRED HOAG      2008-04-09

Bob M, To tighten the cables on your M2 homegym, first make sure that the cable bolt is threaded completely into your cap plate. Threading this bolt all the way in will take up slack in your cables. If you still need to remove more slack, consult page 24 of your owner's manual. Step 38 explains how to eliminate cable slack by adjusting the press arm stop clockwise.

FRED HOAG      2008-04-09

Pepphead, Yes, you can use a stability ball while training on the M4.You will notice that the platform below the bench has a trough running down the center of it. The purpose of this trough is to keep your stability ball centered as you perform your stability exercises. To perform a chest press using a stability ball, first move the bench to the side. Adjust both the left and right press arms to position 1. Place your stability ball onto the center of the platform. Lay down with your upper back on the ball (facing away from the gym). Reach back and grab the free motion handles. You are now ready to perform a chest press exercise. Another good exercise is performing a wide lat pulldown while sitting on a stability ball.

FRED HOAG      2008-04-09

Bob M      2008-03-31

Hi, Jeff -- I bought an M2 from Leisure Fitness in August, and am very happy with it. I had them assemble it up for me. Now, after six months, the cables have stretched a bit and could use being tighted up an inch or so. Is this something I can do? Thanks.

Jim      2008-03-27

Hi Jeff,Got my M3 last month and love it. Back in December you said that the missing sample workout diagrams on the the site and the sports specific training and woman-teen workouts would be coming live within a few months. Any update on this? Thanks. Hi Jim, Yes they are supposed to be uploading the new workouts over the next month or so.

Pepphead      2008-03-25

considering the M4, can you utilize an exercise ball while working on this machine. Can you hook a lat bar to this maching if you do not want to just use the d handles. how about a curl bar.

Mark      2008-03-11

I am interested in the M4 and my nearest dealer is about 50 miles away. Before traveling to see the M4 do you have a user manual or assembly manual that I could look over?

Jeff Laborde      2008-03-05

Hi Rocky,The reason we don't have a 5lb add on weight is there are a few companies that offer them that work on our gyms. Check with the place you bought it. I know Ivanko and Plate Mate both have one that will work.

Jeff Laborde      2008-03-05

Hi Tony,Yes you will get an exercise chart, 2 single handles, an easy curl bar, a lat bar, a chain, and an ankle strap. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Jeff Laborde      2008-03-05

Hi FightinFlab,We are in the process of workouts for women and teenagers. They should be up in about a month or so.

Rocky White      2008-03-04

Hi to I bought an M3 about a month ago and I am very impressed with the quality and the ability to perform a multitude of exercises. I have one thought to offer. Have you considered making a 5 lb. collar weight that could ride on the top of the weight stack. It is not always easy to go up a full plate, particularly for my wife.

Tony Smith      2008-03-04

I'm considering purchasing a M2 and would like to know what, if any, additional components are included in the base price (lat pull down bar, for example).

Fred Hoag      2008-03-04

Dan, Thanks for the question. The M3 is 72 long in terms of foot print. In terms of user space, you need a total of 84 or an additional foot.

FightinFlab      2008-03-03

Hi!Just got an M2 and love the design and color. One question though...do you have a program that is more tailored toward women? If so, can you provide a link to it for me? Thanks very much!

Dan      2008-03-02

I had a demo of the M3 today at Leisure Fitness in Rockville, MD and was very impressed (btw, very helpful staff there who really know the product). We have a very small space and need to maximize every inch of our room. I understand that the footprint is 72L x 40W. Does this footprint include include the leg extension bars fully extended for the leg curl? If not, how much room is required with the full extension for the leg exercises?

Amanda      2008-02-26

We have the M4 with the included wall chart; like Sean, wondering if there is another resource that details more exercises ... particularly squats

I am interested in a home gym and am considering the Inspire M4 or the Vectra On-Line 1650. I am not familiar with Inspire and can't seem to find much information on it. What additional information can you provide, other than what is on the web site?

Jeff Laborde      2008-02-11

Hi Julia, In the next 5 to 6 weeks you should be able to make your own CD's or download the workouts on to an IPOD.

Jeff Laborde      2008-02-11

Hi Steve, We are going to have an online user profile in a few months. It will have everything you are asking for and then some.

Jeff Laborde      2008-02-11

Hi Myint, Did you get the assembly instructions? I also have a few distributors that may be able to put it together for you. Please let me know.

Julia Alibrando      2008-02-09

Hi all, can anyone tell me if the workouts you access through the flashplayer on the website can be saved on a cdrom or flashdrive for later use? Addtionally, if so, can portions be cut and pasted electronically to piece together a custom workout you can use from your computer?

Steve B.      2008-02-04

I am looking for a workout routine grid for the M1. Something similar ot what you see at a Gym where you can record the exercise, weight, reps, sets, etc.. I guess I could create one hoever if its available to download that would be great.

myint aung      2008-02-03

hello I bought m2 machine at newhampshire. Now i moved to califorina and i really difficult with assembly my machine. Can some one send assembly instructions for m2 to my email? founshwe0110@yahoo.com I really need help!! thanku for helping me

Jeff Laborde      2008-01-30

Hi Sean,The weight rations for the M4 are each high pulley is 1 to .50 for a total of 1 to 1, each Press Arm is 1 to .65 for a total of 1 to 1.3, each leg arm is 1 to .5 for a total of 1 to 1, and the dual pulleys are 1 to .25 for a total of 1 to .5

Jeff Laborde      2008-01-30

Hi Rich, The retail price for the M1 is $1695.00, M2 $2295.00, M3 $3095.00, and M4 $3995.00. These prices do not include shipping, handling, tax, delivery and set up.

Akemy      2015-11-30

Hi, I would like to know what are the different M1-M4

Sean      2008-01-19

I recently putrchased the M4. I was wondering about the weight ratios at each of the stations. Also, it came with a wall chart, but I'm sure there are many more exercises that can be performed that are listed on the wall chart. Is there another reference, such as a user manual, that details more excercises and the bench-bar positions than are on the wall chart? Thanks,Sean

Fred Hoag      2008-01-17

Hi Pat,Thanks for your e-mail.The high pulley on the M3 is set at a true 1 to 1 ratio. So, pinning 100lbs. gives you exactly 100lbs. of resistance. The M3's press arm is set at a 1.3 to 1 ratio. Pinning 100lbs. actually gives you 130lbs. of resistance. We engineered it like this to provide resistance beyond the 210lb. weight stack. The bench press exercise is a compound movement and some users require a good deal of weight. This ratio makes the M3's 210lb. weight stack feel like 273lbs. (210lbs. x 1.3) The mid-pulley and low pulleys are both set at a .5 to 1 ratio, or half resistance as we like to call it. We do this for two reasons. First, it makes each 10lb. weight plate feel like 5lbs. This eliminates the need for a 5lb. add-on weight. Second, half resistance improves cable travel... allowing for exercises that require a large range of motion. i.e. the core rotation exercise, which can be seen in the workouts section of our web site.Thank you.

Rich      2008-01-16

Can I get the prices on all of the M1,M2, M3 and M4 machines- Thanks.

Fred Hoag      2015-11-30

Hi Sandy,Go to our dealer locator located at the top of our home page. Enter your zip code and the closest Inspire Fitness retailer will appear.Thank you.

Fred Hoag      2008-01-15

Hello Bob,We always recommend that our gyms be assembled by an authorized technician...but it is by no means mandatory. If you are mechanically inclined, go for it. I will e-mail you a copy of the M3 assembly instructions today. If you need any help, e-mail or call. Thank you.

Sandy      2008-01-14

I'm interested in the Ab Bar, where can it be purchased and also, I'm pleased about the workouts being available for the IPOD. I don't get enough use out my equipment because I'm not experienced with gym equipment. This will really help me get better and stay motivated to exercise.

Pat S      2008-01-14

I've been very happy with my M3 - I've had it since Sept 07. I was wondering how the pully system changes the actual weight resistance for the different stations. The same amount of weight feels very different from station to station.

Bob Pauly      2008-01-13

I'm buying an assembled M3 from a private party - should I attempt to disassemble, transport and reassmble by myself (and a friend!)? Is there an assembly manual I can get my hands on? Thanks.

Jeff Laborde      2008-01-10

Hi Sal, Within the next 5 to 6 weeks all of our Workouts On The Web will be downloadable to a DVD or IPOD. You will then be able to create your own DVD Workout for any of our gyms.

Jeff Laborde      2008-01-10

Hi Trevor,Yes we will have Hockey as one of our Sports Specifc Workouts. We will hope to add it in the coming months.

Sal      2008-01-10

Is there an instructional DVD that goes with the M2?

Trevor      2008-01-05

I see that you have some sports specific workouts up, do you have any plans to have one for Hockey? I just purchased a M1 today and will be picking it up on monday

Jeff Laborde      2008-01-02

Hi Dana,The M4 is a little longer and wider. The dimensions of the M4 without the Leg Press are Length 96 X Width 48 X Height 83.5. The M4 with Leg Press is Length 100 X Width 76 X Height 83.5.

dana malis      2007-12-29

I'm trying to see if the M4 will fit in my basement. I know the brochure is on it's way. Can anyone tell me what the footprint is with the optional leg press? Is it the same as the M3? Thanks!

Jeff Laborde      2007-12-28

Hi Norbet,The PDF of the M4 borchure is on its way!

Jeff Laborde      2007-12-28

Hi Jay,Here is the reason Sunset Swings and Inspire are advertised together. They are both divisions of Health In Motion, Inspire is for workouts were as Sunset Swings are for relaxation, and the best thing about both product lines is they bring the family together.

Norbert      2007-12-27

Hello, I am interested in the Inspire M4. If possible, could you send me a copy of a brochure with details about it. Also, would like to get its measurements to be able to plan where in my basement it would best fit. Thanks!

jay      2007-12-20

Why would you sell exersise equipment on line and Sunset Swings at the same time? One encourages movement for health, the other requires only sitting and swinging. Why are Inspire and the Sunset swings ads together?

Jeff Laborde      2007-12-15

Hi James,We will have all of our assembly and owner?s manuals online in the next few months. If you need it sooner I can email it to you. Please let me know.

Jeff Laborde      2007-12-15

Hi Mike,We will be updating the website and workouts over the next few months, so keep your eyes on the workouts on the web. The sports specific training is coming and a few of unique workouts. Please let me know what you think once they are up.

James      2007-12-15

I could not find the installation guide on the web page. How do I find a copy of the installation guide?

Jake      2007-12-11

WOW I seen the M4 for the first time recently and had the pleasure of getting a demo from Jeff himself! This is now on top of my christmas list! Thank you for taking fitness equipment to the next level.

Mike      2007-12-10

A number of the exercises contained in the sample workouts available on this site do not have the accompanying diagrams showing the exercise positions (for example, no exercise diagrams for fixed or free movement incline press). Will these additional exercise positions become available?

jim ryan      2007-12-05

how easy is it to set up these machines?i have limited height in the room(cellar) where i anticipate setting the equipment up(80 inches)thanks for any info

Carl J      2007-11-27

I am anxious to see the M4 documentation on your website. I was quite impressed it at a dealer in my area and now I am considering purchasing one instead of the Smith machine I was sure I wanted.

Jeff Laborde      2007-11-25

Hi Dominic, The custom fabric website is www.bearpawquilt.com.

Dominic      2007-11-24

What is the website for custom shrouds?

Curt B      2007-11-18

My wife and I just spent a day putting our M4 together. For the most part it was pretty easy although some of the part labeling could be improved. The gym is very nice and smooth. We are both looking forward to some great workouts.

Jeff Laborde      2007-11-09

Hi John,Welcome to the Inspire Blog! It's funny you should say that. Those two things are what we are working on now! In the next few months you should see workouts for women, teenagers; a workout log, sports specific training, and all these workouts will be downloadable to a DVD or an IPOD. By the way THANK YOU for the positive feedback!

John Q      2007-11-09

We just setup our M3 this week. My wife and kids are both excited. The M3 looks great and fits perfectly in our basement with a low ceiling height. Assembly was tricky, but everything worked out. The machine is very smooth and it's easy to transition between exercises. It would be great if you could add more workout routines (expecially ones for teenagers). Also, it would be cool if you could build out a workout log on your site like the Nike web-site.

Tim B      2007-11-01

Looking forward to the M4s! Inspire is definitely leading the charge in innovation and a serious line of equipment for beginners to the advanced trainer. Keep it up!!

Jeff Laborde      2007-10-30
